I just bought a car with this system already installed. It was working fine until yesterday when I turned the car on the screen is blank except for "Car is starting Pioneer Nagigation System" - the radio is working and when I back up the screen works but for anything else it is black. Please help
I downloaded the update disk from the Pioneer website and seems to be working fine now. Much faster than 4 to 6 weeks!!!
Yes you will need to get the system updated. My neigbor had this issue and is no longer having the problem
I did the same...we will see, I am hearing that it is taking 4 to 6 weeks for the disk to show up.
I called pioneer an talked to them about mine ,an there sending me a disk that will fix it .Try that an see if they will send you one.
When park the car in the hot weather condition, the unit turn off by the thermostat to protect it from overheating. Once the unit is cool, restart the unit should resolve the problem. If not, disconnect the power from the unit and wait for 15 second before reconnect. Good luck.

this is happening to my z3.I just got it!!! it pays cds and files in my library but i cant see any picture on the screen. everything else works properly just no picture. Any help? Thanks
I'm having the same problem. The start-up screen comes on and the music is playing, but the screen will not change out of the start-up screen.
