My company keeps their copier till it absolutely dies. The top lid/cover needs to be replaced. Where can I find this replacement part?

You will have to get in touch with that company. Make sure you have your bill.

If you need to keep your rpm above 1500 to keep the oil light from coming on, you need to have that checked RIGHT NOW. When the light comes on, oil pressure is at an absolute minimum. Check the oil level in your crankcase, and top it up if necessary. If you still get the light coming on, you may have a bad oil pump, excessive wear on bearings, or a bad oil pressure switch. Get it checked out or you are liable to blow your engine.

Many new washer use a lid lock instead of a brake to keep people from reaching into the spinner before it stops. You probably have a
bad lid lock. Have a repair man open the top cover and repair or replace the lid lock.

There are usually two portions of the top lid to be removed to gain access to the motor compartment. Lift the top lid, squeeze the hinge to get the side into the frame of the hinge so it can release and allow them to come out. The same procedure should get the second lid removed. Now you should be at the second cover assembly, which is removed by releasing two, one on each side, snap clip tabs. They are located on the side of the 3rd cover, near the front corner. The corner needs to be lifted till the little tab snaps loose, then when both sides are loose this cover can be removed. Keep an eye out for screws that may need to be removed from time to time on some of the covers. They should be fairly self-evident when they're there. This should put you into the motor cavity so that you can lift the motor out , disconnect the wires and go check the motor.

Change the settings in the Power section to shut-down when lid is closed. Power Settings, Advanced Settings, Change setting to shut-down when lid is closed.

Pop off the right side cover - it is just held with clips. At the hinge, you will see that the cover switch arm that is supposed to move up and down as the cover opens & closes (in the slot in the geared hinge) is probably broken off. It is in the up position when the lid is closed, and down when the lid is open. I cut the shaft of a Q-tip to length and wedged it into the space to keep the cover switch up all of the time and still allow free movement of the lid.

I think your best bet is just to store the old lid away and keep the receipt that HP sent with the new lid. That way you can prove they replaced the lid and you have the old one with the sn on it to prove it.

• Remove soft top compartment cover.
• Lift soft top out of soft top compartment.
• Lift gas strut out downwards, insert in available bore and lower the linkages.
• Remove tab washer, raise gas strut upwards and lift out.

This is an easy one, you do the black the same as each color cartridge. All four cartridges sit on a carousel that rotates.

Just keep pressing the button that's directly underneath the ready light until it says "rotating to black". After the machine stops rotating, open up the cover and put the black cartridge in.
