Question about Seagate Free Agent Go Small 12 GB USB External HD ST600121GSA1E1-RK USB 2.0 Hard Drive

I back up my c:\ hard drive with Seagate Free Agent 500 GB exteranl hard drive. Later my hard drive hard develop problem: it couldn't recognise
drive C:\ . I had no choice but to reformat the drive. I setup the Free Agent
on the drive. I tried to restore the previously backup files from the Free Agent on my drive; the problem is that I couldn't find function( or icon) on Free Agent that will enable me to do this; I remenber when the files were backup, the Free Agent showed the restore function. I believe the backup files are still in the Free Agent because it shows the capacity is 465 GB, less the 35 GB which is used to hold the backup files. I am using my laptop to send this message because my desktop drive is not loaded with
antivirus yet and I don't want to go online. The Free Agent 500 GB: P/N: 9NK2AL-510; S/N: 5QM10TBB.
I would thank anyone who could help me solve this puzzle.
Very truly yours,

465.66 x 1024 x 1024 x 1024 = 499,998,617,764 bytes. The problem is the definition of gigabytes.

I just got a Free agent 500gb today and I checked from my computer to see how much actual space was available on the HDD and it showed the same amount that you're getting 465gb. I believe the 35gb that's missing is used for some standard program/files that the Free agent requires for regular operation.
