I have a emachine el1200 desktop and the power led light is staying on but I have no power to the fans or anything. The computer will not come on at all and the blue light stays on. I tried unplugging it but when I plug it back in the blue power light comes back on. What could be the problem?

Try cleaning it first with canned compressed air they get dust built up in and sometimes won't run...do not run system with fan not working could overheat...try that...works most times

I don't recommend upgrading the computer's RAM because this computer only supports up to 2Gb at max, if you upgrade it to 4Gigs (2pcs 2Gb), the machine may not boot up at all.

Hello. Now these type of computers have been known to have the sound go out on them. What you can do is get a soundcard and install it. Then run your speakers off of the sound card.

What triggered the problem? do you know? did you recently change anything? install any new programs? etc.
Do you get any error messages? Do you see the windows loading screen and then it just reboots again?

Try this first: HIt F8 when it is trying to boot, and if you get to select boot using Last Known Good settings. See if that helps. If not we can try something more advanced.
