Scratched top. Need part number?

pretty straight forward job. but you need to take front off for access. which means top comes off first. so must unstack washer/dryer. check out repairclinic.com or appliancepartspros.com for how to videos.

Is the disk scratched or damaged or anything like that? Is part of the top film a little chopped up?

If the bottom of the disk is scratched you're able to bring in the CD to any place that sells video games or CD's and they should be able to fill in the scratches for you since the top film is the important part of the disk.

If the top film is scratched up, you may need to buy a new disk :/

Hello c_larubio - Yes, if you are referring to the control panel console then either or may be done. The part may be replaced or you can purchase touch up paint. You can contact the manufacturer directly to get part or through a part distributor in your area, however part number may be different.

Bahama Blue front control panel AGL31533006 is over $100. Touch up paint should be available from LG, but servicer may have to call parts department directly for a part number. (I did to get some red)
Note: It is the consumer's responsiblity to provide someone to assist with removal of a stacked dryer if the washer needs service, or to pay servicer for a second trip and a second servicer if consumer is unable to provide an assistant to help remove the stacked dryer and replace it. Servicer should not have even attempted to remove stacked dryer by themselves, as personal injury and / or product damage could result.

I suggest you have the service provider order the correct touch up paint which you purchase from them. In the future, please make sure you always inform a service company if there is a dryer stacked on the washer ahead of the appointed service date, and if you are able to provide an assistant to help remove and replace said dryer, or if you need to have the service company bring along additional help. (at additional cost, of course)

there should be a number on the belt take it to the spares place and they should be able to match one up for you

After removing the three screws which pass through the L bracket into the back of the dryer:
Stand in front of the dryer and (using the palms of your hands) give the top a sharp push back on the dryer top at the left and right side of the top. The top should slide back 1 to 2 inches. Now lift the top off.

If you post again with further questions, make sure to post under the model number you have. (you posted using a combo washer / dryer, and stated you are converting to LP, which combo units are not gas.)

If you need a new drum. Follow the instructions below.

Here is how to do it on a DLE2514W. Takes about an hour. I only used a phillips screw

driver. Take your time and look over the situation. I hope that I rememberd

Dryer Drum Repair

1. Remove L bracket with 6 screws at the top, rear.
2. Slide top back 2 inches to unlatch and remove.
3. Remove control panel with 2 screws at top, inside corners.
4. Carefully unplug 4 plugs from back of control panel.
5. Looking at inside at the top. Remove wiring bundle from 2 guides.
6. Unplug wire from dryer light.
7. Open dryer door and unscrew 2 screws behind door just below lint trap.
8. Remove 4 screws at top of front panel that holds the door.
9. Lift up front panel to remove. I couldn't get the door switch plug to disconnect
so I carefully rotated it an set it on top of the dryer.
10. Remove upper case bracket with 2 screws in front and 2 screws inside at top.
11. slide up a bit to unlock from sides. Watch routing of dryer switch wire bundle.
12. Remove lint trap duct with 2 machine screws. Carefully slide down to remove.
13. Remove front drum support with 4 screws attached to sides. Lift up to disengage

sides. Lift drum to free from rollers.
14. Observe how drive belt is routed around motor and tension roller. Push tension

roller up and release belt. Carefully take belt off and remove.
15. Almost done. Lift drum up at rear to free from rear rollers. Remove.
16. While your're there vacuume up dust and reverse procedure to install.

Yes you can replace the top. I tried looking up the part number for you but the model number was not valid. There should be 4 more numbers after the 9656. When i get a valid model number i can get you the part number and a price. thanks
