You most likely have image burn in on the display if it is not in a straight line. If it is in a straight line than it can be dead pixels. It is most likely the first issue I saw this same issue at work with an HP plasma TV.

My picture is pinkish and glossy

If the overall picture has a pinkish hue to it and skin colors appear to have pinkish blotches. White scenes have a pinkish hue to them then it is is likely the main display board, 6871QCH029A. This board is located next to the Y sustain board. Need to remove the tv from the stand to get to the main display board. I just fixed my Z50PX2D that had the pinkish hue to it by replacing the main logic board. Check ebay for boards.

Screen very dim ..how do i turn up the contrast /brightness

Hello !

Test with an external monitor. If it works, there is a problem with the display's backlight or inverter board.

If you were experiencing discoloration in the screen (pinkish lower light hues) before it failed, that would indicate a CCFL backlight issue. If the screen suddenly went dim on you rather than a slow degradation the inverter would be indicated.

Hope this helps.

Dell Inspiron 1501 Laptop-6'' Red Vertical Line

The color red and especially red colored lines or a pinkish hue are indicative of an impending screen failure. The only other possibility is that the data cable on the left backside of the lcd panel may be loose at the socket or on the motherboard. 9 times out of 10 though, it is the lcd panel that it failing.

White has turned pinkish

sounds like the linear adjustment is out of whack.....most projection type tvs, projection, lcd, plasma, have to be correctly aligned so that the color grids overlap each other to properly display the correct hue being created. you'd need the service code to re-adjust it, or have it serviced. also possible that one of the color grids is bad, but if you have all three (red, blue, green) colors showing on the entire screen area i would doubt it

Redish hue

Sounds like a bad backlight bulb. I am sure it will not be that easy to replace.

Hisense 42in plasma flashing blue/green pixels after 30 mins

Do a master reset
1. unplug the TV from the wall
2. remove the batteries from the remote
3. wait 24 hrs
4. plug TV into the wall socket
5. install batteries in remote
6. hold power on button for minimum 10 seconds
This was given to me by the Hisense service line and worked for my TV.
