My Nikon S203 camera battery has not been charging for quite some time now. I got a new battery because I thought the battery died.. but the new battery then died and would not charge either. The charger blinks like its charging but never stops blinking and the battery will not charge. sounds like i need a new charger... right? Will Nikon give me a new one, or do I need to buy a new one? and where can I buy just a battery charger?

SOURCE: Battery charger(BC-11L)

Your Battery is faulty and requires replacment.

Depending on where you are and if it is still within the new warranty period or not depends on how long or how much it will cost to replace the battery. Call the Distributor for Casio in your State or Country and they may even send you one out Free Of Charge.

Battery exhausted won't charge

even new batteries can die. I only can advice you to try to start a charge cycle a few times in a row, but if the charger does not indicate it is charging, I'm afraid you really have to buy a new battery.
I have a Nikon battery that is almost 3 years off age and in the camera it says capacity 100% NEW. But it is used on a regular base and charged regular.

My Coolpix s6000 just won't charge I bought a new battery and it worked for a short time and now as soon as you take it off the charger it dies. please tell me what I need to do to fix it or how to send it...

It sounds like one of two things. Either there is a short circuit in your camera that is draining the battery or the camera's battery charger circuit is not charging the battery. There are a few things you can do. You can send the camera to Nikon USA for repair (look on the Nikon website for the address the closest repair center). The other thing you could do is buy an inexpensive external charger for the battery and see if the camera works for a resonable period after charging the batteries externally. Adorama.com carries both the Nikon and off brand models and will give you the best price. It that works, you know that the camera's battery charging circuit is the problem. If that is the case, you could pass on repairing the camera and just use the external charger. If that does not solve the problem, the camera will need to be repaired.

Just bought a usb cord charger for my nikon coolpix s203 and its been dead fir a couple of days and I wont turn on

You left your camera on for a couple of days? I'd think your batteries are completely drained. The S203 doesn't charge batteries via the USB port. Try charging the batteries overnight using the supplied MH-63 charger.

If that doesn't do it, please reply to this post and we'll go on from there.

Hi, It almost sounds like the battery won't hold a charge anymore which means you need a new battery. Since the camera isn't quite a year old yet I'd suggest contacting Nikon and seeing if they'll do anything for you before you buy a new battery.

Hi! Really need a hand right now. Can i charge my nikon coolpix s203 from my laptop using the usb? thanks a whole bunch

No, you can't. You are supposed to charge the LiIon battery with the wall charger that came with the camera.

My nikon 775 just won't start even after i put in a new battery (i thought it was a battery problem). any clues on what i should do before i retire if permanently?

Hi

The Nikon Coolpix 775 can be powered using a EN-EL1 rechargeable battery or a disposable 2CR5 type battery (Panasonic, Duracell, Maxell etc). If you are trying to use an EN-EL1 you may want to try using a 2CR5 - this would prove if the battery charger you are using to charge the EN-EL1 battery is working correctly.

You can also try and check if the contacts inside the battery compartment are clean - the camera is quite old and there will normally be some dirt deposits after that length of time.

Hope this helps.

I just started having the same exact problem. I took it one step further and put the battery on a meter and it checks out at the rated 3.7 volts. Plus, the camera will not turn on. This problem is not covered in the "troubleshooting" guide of the owner's manual.

My camera will not hold a battery chard, it last

How old is your camera already? Electronic gadgets powered by lithium ion batteries dies over time. if you had your camera and battery for over quite some time now say like a year or so, maybe the cells were drained dead and uncapable of holding electrical charge anymore. If that is the case you might consider replacing your camera battery with a fresh one.
