Hi, I have a problem with a Hyundai W240 monitor. When it's been turned on for a while (15-20 minutes or so) the screen starts to flicker/jump really fast. The longer the monitor is on, the worse the flickering/jumping gets. The same thing happens even if I change the dvi cable or connect my laptop or xbox to it. Is there any way to solve this problem?

Hi Mjau_beibi,
Technically, yes. It requires a level of expertise though. You would want to start by replacing the pixel panel. (Which is inside of the monitor and requires knowledge of monitor repair) - I would not recommend doing it yourself unless you are familiar with in-depth repair of components like this. Depending on the cost of the repair, it may be worth it to purchase a new monitor unfortunately. Sorry for the relatively bad news. Hope all works out! - Cheers!

How do you enable the usb ports on the left side of the monitor

This would be in the settings using your remote to go to the settings or setup. You will find that configuration using your manual. Thanks for using FixYa! John

Good afternoon. I have an LCD . When I turn it

Sometimes LCD screens can flicker if kept in cold environments. Make sure that it's not too cold in the area of the LCD. Also, make sure the cable to the monitor is connected properly, as a loose cable can also cause the screen to flicker.

Screen not appearing straight away

It could be your LCD backlight giving you problems till it warms up. Turn you computer on and while the monitor is displaying black and the power LED is green shine a flashlight in the lower left hand corner of your screen. Look for the ?Start? button, if your backlight is not working you?ll see a faint ?start? button if you look closely. A 15" LCD monitor is probably not an economically repairable problem unless you have access to really cheap parts and have the skills and tools to do the repair yourself.

Flashing on and off

I would suggest trying another monitor to rule out your PC or monitor card. I would also check the video settings on the PC. Then assuming your cable/connector and video card are okay, it sounds like a lamp or lamp driver (a.k.a. ballast or inverter) issue. In other words, an internal issue that probably needs component-level troubleshooting.
