I have to unplug the set to get the light to stop blinking, but when I do the set comes back on and works properly for two or three days then dose the same thing again. Help !

SOURCE: I have an JVC HD52Z575

Loud pop sounds like blown capacitor. Are you sure none of the capacitor are burnt? Please look carefully since sometimes you dont notice a small crack in it which causes the pop.
If not, no video sounds like video unit is faulty.
Again have a look on the circuit board if something (component) has burnt.
Do you remember how this happened ? or did it happen all of a sudden?

Lamp never fires Unit goes right to cool/shutdown.

The ballast might have gone bad, you'll need to check the output voltage of it. In some projectors, the power supply/ballast are combined as one PCB instead of 2 separate boards.

Jvc 56fn97 wont do anything but blink blue on power button

Reseat the lamp again, and make sure that the lamp door is completly closed and screwed shut. There are safety switches that keep the set from turning on if all is not secure. If this does not help, you either bought a defective lamp, or your ballast is the problem.

Jvc tv

when both the blue light and red light are blinking it means 1 of 3 things. 1. lamp replacement. This often works everytime for the repair. TIP!!! DO NOT USE ANY OTHER LAMPS OTHER THAN JVC AUTHENTIC LAMPS. ANY OTHERS AND YOU RISK DAMAGING YOUR TV FURTHER. 2. the fans are not working properly or need to be replaced. They need to be cleaned every so often and they will stop working from burn-out if not done so. This repair will cost you less than 100 dollars. 3. The ballasts are defective and need to be replaced. The ballasts themselves run about 150 dollars. I tell you I have fixed this TV more times than I care to count, not to mention the number of lamps I have gone through. The guy at the TV repair place now knows me by name when i come to buy lamps. :(

Wd52525 Ballast

Good Day, monkbuist;

TRY THIS:

1. (Lamp may light and go out) suspect bad lamp part # 915P020010 2. Check for 12-volts DC at J-9 connector pin 4 on the Engine Driver PCB, if missing check for an open F9A09 on the Power PCB, if it is open replace F9A09 part # 283P127060 and the Light Engine part # 939P977010 3. (Lamp may light and go out) Check for 5-volts DC at J-9 connector pin 1 and 2 on the Engine Driver PCB if low or missing check C9A37 and C9A38 both 3300 UFD 10 V part # 181P732040 on the Power PCB (part # 930B921002) 4. At power on the lamp turns on and off three times and then the unit shuts down with a red lamp LED (lamp error). Replace the Light Engine part # 939P977010 5. Lamp enable line at J14 pin 6 does not switch to 5 volts after turn on, 12 and 5 volt supplies are good. Suspect the Light Engine part # 939P977010 6. Lamp enable line at connector J14 pin 6 on the Engine Driver PCB switches to 5 volts after turn on and does go to 0-volts (low) after 5 seconds, 12 and 5 volt supplies are good. Suspect the Lamp Power PCB (ballast) part # 939P978010 7. Lamp enable line at connector J14 pin 6 on the Engine Driver PCB switches to 5 volts after turn on but does not go back to 0-volts (low) after 5 seconds, 12 and 5 volt supplies are good. Suspect the Light Engine part # 939P977010. Good Luck, big IRISH. back.gif

Blue light in the front blinking no picutre no sound

This is the shutdown code for the lamp ballast. I would have a technician verify ballast is bad and replace. This can be a tricky repair for a novice because installation of the ballast requires that you remove the light engine. Hope this helps.
