Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 Smartphone Logo
Posted on Aug 31, 2010

Xperia x1 won't charge. The charging symbol will appear on the screen for a short period of time (perhaps 2 or 3 minutes) before disappearing a showing the full battery symbol. This shouldn't appear regardless of whether the battery is fully charged or not. As long as it is plugged in it should display the charging symbol. I have used the charger on another phone and so I know the fault is not with the charger. Also the phone although showing full battery will discharge entirely after several minutes use. I have completed by soft and hard resets on the phone in order to resolve the problem but to no success. Please help!!

First try to replace the battery, a drained or low voltage battery won't charge up.

My Xperia X10i after it reach to 100% battery charge and unplug it. Its starting to re-start and re-start until it will not power on anymore?

If the rechargeable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced. Rechargeable batteries will fail if stored in a discharged state for long periods.

Phone keep flashing screen on and off and won't stay on

I've had the same problem. Best solution is to put it on charge, face down for a few days. For some reason, overheating the phone by charging it for too long helps. My has this problem, that solves it but it'll come back again....

Xperia x1 wont turn on

I don't know the exact problem of your phone, but for me when I had the Xperia X1 sometimes I had to charge it for a whole 24h for it to get enough juice to be able to start. This can happen when you use every bit of charge the battery has got to offer. Maybe this is the case, if not you are more than welcome to come back to me!
Good luck! And please, if you do find this answer helpful give it thumbs up :)
