It should be, it says this about your memory support.

  • 4 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 16 GB of system memory
  • DDR3 2200+/1800/1600/1333/1066/800 MHz

  • Here is a list of compatible memory for that motherboard

    CPU fan & PSU fan working but No display coming to the screen

    There should be some sort of beeps then. No beeps is an indication the CPU or RAM is not seated properly. You need to refer to board manual if there are beeps.
    There is also the matter of... Never mind I just noticed the CPU is an 8 core CPU, but the board supports quad core.

    I have a Acer AX1200-U1510A AM2+ Motherboard and i would like to upgrade the processor, ihave 4 gigs of mem and a 1 gig Gigabyte Gt 610 graphics card. I only have a 240 watt power supply what processo

    Should work with a processor of the same socket type. I'd seriously upgrade the psu myself. Personally I'd upgrade the motherboard and processor to a quad core, and get the fastest ram, look at ebuyer.com, you can buy a bundle upgrade package for less than you may think. :)

    Asus gt 440 computer wont boot up

    Has the card got an additional power socket on the leading edge, make sure you have put the 6 pin PCIX power plug to the card from the PSU.

    I want to know that shall i put pentium 4/ 2.4 Ghz/ 533 Fsb/ Processor on this Gigabyte 845GVM-RZ board? will it support ?and i have 1 Gb ddr1 400 mhz ram will this work on this Board?

    Yes for the Intel Pentium 4/2.4GHz/533FSB processor. (Socket 478)

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Intel_Pentium_4_microprocessors#Northwood_.28130.C2.A0nm.29

    (Scroll through. What sSpec number is on top of the processor's case? {You are following Anti-Static Precautions, correct? }

    Won't support better than a Prescott Core Pentium 4. (Next chart down)

    The Gigabyte GA-8I ((Supports 400MHz or 533MHz FSB)

    NO to the Ram Memory.
    The Gigabyte GA-8I845GVM-RZ supports DDR Sdram at 333Mhz. (PC2700)
    IMHO it will not support DDR Sdram at 400MHz. (PC3200)

    My reasoning is this;

    Ram Memory typically operates at half of the FSB frequency rate of the Processor.

    Processor FSB > MAXIMUM frequency rate is 533MegaHertz for the GA-8I845GVM-RZ
    Ram memory at 333MHz is doable.
    Not 400MHz.

    No, you won't be able to overclock, and bring the FSB of the Processor high enough for PC3200 Ram Memory.
    (The rest of the motherboard wouldn't work anyway if you did. PCI Express bus, PCI bus, etc., would not match)
