Cannot re-fit middle glasss into main oven door

Took main oven door to bits, fitted new hinges and cannot get the middle glass panel back into the four plastic supports - glass seems to be too big! Any ideas please?
Thanks

Thanks - had another look and I had the supports on the wrong side of the frame - they hooked under the frame rather than inside it! Your suggestions made me think - all fixed and back to hot meals! Thank you.

This is a new one too me but ill give a shot
ive never seen an over where the supports were all intack
they should be screwed in at least to of them by what i call the hidden screw or plug either the 2 bottom come out or the 2 top ones come out to where the glass slides into position and just put the supports back into place
i was reading reviews on this particular item and clearly by what there describing this is not a very good functioning machine all out of tune from the older style

How do open a locked hinge on my built in Bosch oven

First of all, oven doors are not designed to be disassembled for cleaning of the sealed glass panel. That being said, you may be able to use a coat hanger to pry the hinges open against heavy spring pressure to allow reassembly.

WHILE MAKING HOT CHOCOLATE THE OTHER DAY, THE MILK BOILED OVER AND SOME OF THE MILK WENT THREW THE SLITS AT THE TOP OF THE OVEN DOOR BETWEEN THE TWO GLASSES IN THE DOOR. IS THERE ANY WAY TO OPEN UP THE...

First, you will need a heavy blanket to place the door on once you have removed it from the oven. Open the door slightly, until it stays open by itself, about 15 degrees. Lift the oven door off of the hinges and place on the heavy blanket. (The hinges may snap shut when you pull the door up and off, but this is actually normal. It takes a bit of finesse to get the door back on the hinges if they will not stay out.)

Remove the 4 screws across the bottom of the door. Next, stand the door up with the bottom on the blanket and the front facing you.(Hold the door by gripping firmly around the middle edges to maneuver door)

Now, while holding the handle, remove the 2 screws that hold the handle on, unscrewing them just enough until the handle is free. (You do not want the spacers dropping off the screws) Hold the door together with one hand while placing the handle out of your way.

Once again, grab the door firmly by the middle outer edges and lie the door down, the inside facing down. You should be able to lift up the outer panel and glass and clean the inside of the outer glass.

Reverse the above procedure to reassembly the door. You can also take the door apart further if you have stains inside the other glasses. Here is a link to a schematic for your oven door.

My oven door glass was dirty, from the vents in the oven door..so we took off the oven door, took apart all the screws and cleaned the glass. First of all, don't know if we got the glass pieces in the...

the glass pieces should only fit back in one way, holes will only go one way , as far as the hinges, the need to be locked open in order to replace back into the unit, there is either a small hole in corner of hing that when pushed wll align with another hole in hing allowin for a thin blade screwdriver to be inserted adn hold in hte locked position,... the other way is a small locking mechanism is loacated on the top of hinge that when fully extended will lock hinge open for reattachment... you would need to REALLY PRESS that hinge to lock in place..

Oven door won't stay tightly shut

Oven door hinges are not adjustable, assuming you have fitted the door back correctly, and it is still not closing properly, then the only solution is to replace the door hinges.

I removed the oven door and took out the hinge to clean. When I tried to put the hinge and oven door back the hinge will not close it is stuck. How do I unlock or hook the hinge so my oven door closesI

You will have to pull the oven dorr up and out again, it might be a little hard to pull but the door didn't went in straight and it's preventing the hinge from closing. go to repairclinic.com for an ilustration on how the door and hinges fit in place.

Replaced hinge on smeg double oven but now oven doesn't heat

I have the SMEG F170-5 and had this problem after cleaning and replacing the door. It wouldn't heat unless I banged it shut. This action made the internal switch trigger, so I had to remove the oven (4 screws, slide out) and remove the right side panel (4 screws). The switch is actuated by the right hinge strut and it must have become bent slightly. I bent it a bit towards the door so that it would just a little bit more likely to make the switch trigger with the door closed and it now works fine.
