Ipod shuffel won't charge

If you are using the usb cable that apple supplied take it out of the usb port it is in and try another usb port.

heres what you gonna do

1. you should have an ITUNES installed on your computer and if you dont have download it on their website.
2. everytime you plug your ipod it will be recognizable.
3. look for a song or music file that you like and make a playlist.
4. plug your ipod and it should recognizable with itunes.
5. drag a file from a music folder to the itunes
6. then when its there on the itunes use the add to playlist locating your ipod. by the way if you didnt use ITUNES for dragging music then it wont play on your IPOD.

Until recently, iPods could charge by either USB or Firewire. Each has a different power requirement. Many third-party docks and chargers power the dock connect with electricity that meets the Firewire spec, not the USB one. The newer iPods and the iPhone only can charge by USB. Thus if you use a firewire based charger, you get the "not supported" note. I thinkthat's what is happening to you.

please use your itunes software to update or reflash the software on the device.

you may also want to try to reset the device by letting the battery drain itself out, leve it turned on until the battery dies, once it is dead, leve it like that over night, then recharge it.

Go onto itunes unlock your volume key in ipod and put it up to max.

my friend had a similar problem... he was adviced to format using MAC... and it worked for him.....

Forget the itune software. Download everything free via bittorrent and put it on your player using windows explorer.

Have you got itunes? You can only delete songs by acessing the songs throigh itunes. Good Luck!
