PUK code is called as PERSONNAL UNBLOCKING KEY.
Your phone will ask for PUK code when you entered the PIN code wrongly several times depending upon the mobile make. The mobile asks for PUK code so that unauthorized persons do not use your mobile for wrong cause.
To get PUK code please contact your service provider through phone or go directly to their office. They will provide you the PUK code for your mobile. The PUK code for mobile phone.so that you can open your phone. When you planning to call your service provider you cannot use your mobile as it is fully locked. Please use some other mobile with same network to call your service provider.
While you get the PUK code ,the service provider customer care officer will ask for your personal details to check whether the mobile belongs to you only. If they are satisfied with your answers they will provide with the PUK code
DONOT enter the PUK code several times wrongly,It will block your sim card permanently.
This PUK code is FREE. You no need to pay any sum to get the PUK code

You did wrong step my friend, if your phone locked by sim card you need puk code to unlock samsung sgh-x830 sim lock pin. This puk code is unique and you only can get that from your network provider, that's what is going to be happened if you just insert any puk code from internet to unlock samsung sim card. Now the only option that you have is call your network provider and explain to them your condition, i hope your sim card can be unlocked otherwise you must change new sim card.

I need a PUK code for my samsung X830
HI
For PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code...call your mobile service provider (eg AT&T,Verizon etc) and ask them for PUK code,entering this code will reset your sim If u keep entering wrong your SIM will be damaged so call them. If the error message is saying sim damaged call them and ask for a "sim replacement" you will get a new sim while you will retain the same number ,however you will lose the phone numbers and other data stored in sim,this can be free but it depends on the company.

Universal puk for samsung x830
Hi,

PUK is not phone dependent and its SIM dependent, each SIM card has seperate PUK number depending on operator..

PUK code in PIN UNLOCKING CODE, which is required when you give PIN number wrongly for 3 times,
This code is OPERATOR specific and not phone specific and you have to call you operator and get PUK if PIN is blocked...

if you provide PUK code wrongly for 10 time, you sim may become useless, then you have to buy new SIM

NOTE: You should ask your service provider,get the PUK,

Remove the sim card from the phone, where you would write the phone number, for example for calling 911, write the code given to reset the phone.

Whats my puk
You can only get your PUK number (Personal Unblocking Key) through your service provider.
OR it's on the plastic card that your SIM card was attached to.
The PUK will let you restart the phone to bring the original PIN number to 0000.
If you have forgotten your security number, you can only rectify this by entering your Master Code.
I can give you this Master Code, I need the IMEI number for that.
Type: *#06# for checking the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity).

www.samsung.com/uk/support/download has software for this phone. Just follow the links for the SGH-X830. I did and it was okay. I downloaded the manual, not the software.
