Hi,
As the Radio and Aux works fine the problem may be with the motor inside the equipment which is not rotating the disc.Only when it rotates the lens will read the content in the CD.Please take your fusion. If the motor rotates then the problem is with the lens.Try using lens cleaners and if the problem still persists then give for service as this cannot be done by you. This requires a experienced hands.
Thank You
Lets start with the basics on trouble shooting your issue. How many cd's did you try toplay? did you put in several new cd's to ensure that it wasnt just a select few discs and that they were not skipping? If everything else plays fine on the boat then the fault lies in the cd player itself. First i would try a cd lens cleaner. Let me know if you tried a lens cleaner and if you have what was the outcome. If not please try to get one and run it to ensure that unit's lens has been cleaned. Let me know what happens from there and i will assist you further to help get this working. Thanks, Midwest-tek
This means that there is either a power overload or a problem with the cd player directly. Couldnt find your model so i had to look up a few other models and get a census of error code 2. Best to first hook up a volt meter to the power wire of the radio and ensure that it is proper voltage and that when the boat is in motion or the motor is on its not spiking power. Cause that could have caused this problem. generally you can avoid this by adding a inline fuse to the switched power wire. If you just purchased the unit and installed it then it should be under warranty. Unless you bought it used or second hand then there is no warranty. But because you say it worked for a few hours then stopped but the radio and aux work. Im inclined to think it may have been a power spike. An there isnt really much you can do on this radio as far as user serviceability goes. But first thing to do is ensure that there isnt power spiking. What model boat do you have? This way i can try and look it up and see what i can figure out for the wiring.
