How do I set the date on a calibre 8700 perpetual calender wr 100?

Go to http://www.citizenwatch.com/COA/English/settings.asp and follow instructions.

You can get instructions from the Citizen web site.

Go to "citizen.com" and on the upper right there is a menu. Click on "technical support" and then on "setting instructions"

Fill in the information required from the back of your watch and then click on "get setting instructions"

This will likely require you taking the back off, removing the battery, reinserting, and then shorting the battery and AC. You will also need to look up the manuel online from Citizen's website, or go to a jeweler to have them reset your perpetual calender.

Pull the winder 1/2 way out and rotate it to set the correct day and date

I have the same problem. Watch stores are NO help. Does someone have an answer that works?

The watch does not have a "perpetual" clock so it does not know what month it is in. It will treat every month as a 31 day month, so you will have to re-set the date anytime a month is not 31 days.

The year is now 2008 a leap year. You should set the watch to leap year.
