I cannot install ethernet driver of hp compaq d530. Where can i find it?

Hello: I hope the following information is helpful.
If you are trying to install the driver for the Broadcom ethernet NIC that was pre-installed (NOT an ethernet card that you purchased and installed yourself), there is a softpack (updated driver installation) download available from HP/Compaq. It will install the driver automatically for you, just download it from the link below and run the ".exe" file.
IMPORTANT: Check to be sure that your current Operating System, and model of the network device you are trying to install, are BOTH listed below BEFORE you download!
This is a software / driver update for the HP Compaq d530 ultra-slim desktop: All Models
Supported network devices:
BCM5906M Broadcom 10/100/1000 5782 based NIC Broadcom 570x 10/100 Integrated controller Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet 5782 Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet PCI-Express NetXtreme(tm) 10/100/1000 Gb NIC
Supported Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows 2000 Microsoft Windows 98 Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Microsoft Windows Vista Business 32 Edition Microsoft Windows Vista Business 64 Edition Microsoft Windows Vista Enterprise 32 Edition Microsoft Windows Vista Enterprise 64 Edition Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic 32 Edition Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic 64 Edition Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 32 Edition Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 64 Edition Microsoft Windows Vista Starter 32 Edition Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate 32 Edition Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate 64 Edition Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Microsoft Windows XP Professional Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 EditionINSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Download the file by clicking the "Download" or "Obtain Software" button and saving the file to a folder on your hard drive (make a note of the folder where the downloaded file is saved). 2. Double-click the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.LINK where file can be downloaded:HP/Compaq Support-Broadcom Driver download
Again, I hope this information is what you neededto install your network device. Should this not answer your question, please come back, provide more details of your problem, and we will be happy to help!Best of luck to you!

Pro tools m-powered problem

You may need to check to see which "service pack" you are currently on.

See below requirements:

System Software — Windows XP & Vista
  • Windows Vista Business or Ultimate Edition
    • 32-bit OS Installation Only
  • Windows XP Professional or Home Edition
    • With Windows XP Service Pack 2 or Service Pack 3

  • Not Supported:
    • Windows Vista 64-bit (any version)
    • Windows XP Professional x64 Edition
    • Windows XP Media Center Edition
    • Windows 98, Me, 2000, NT, 95, 3.1, DOS

  • Not Tested:
    • Windows Vista Home and Home Premium Edition
    • Although Windows Vista Home and Home Premium Edition have not been tested or qualified by Digidesign, there are currently no known issues with Vista Home and Home Premium 32-bit operating systems and Pro Tools M-Powered 7.4 compared to the supported Windows Vista Business or Ultimate Edition operating systems.

Windows Vista SP1
There are currently no known issues with Service Pack 1 for Windows Vista based on our initial limited testing and customer feedback. Although full qualification with all Digidesign products has not been completed, we do not recommend against updating to SP1, given the number of important overall system fixes in SP1. We do recommend that you backup your system and create a restore point before updating to SP1, should you encounter any problems after installing the update.

Vista RAM usage ?

The minimum recommended ram for Vista is 1 GB, generally accepted practical minimum is 2 GB. A 1 GB system will be kinda laggy. Maximum RAM for 32 bit Vista is 4 GB.

Vista Home Premium is roughly equivalent to Windows XP Media Center Edition (Has Media Center, cann't be put on a DOMAIN type network)

Vista Business is roughly equivalent to Windows XP Professional (Can Join a Domain, Doesn't have Media Center)

Vista Ultimate has all available freatures of Vista, you can do any windows function with Ultimate

Are they the same - windows vista 32 bit platform edition and windows vista home basic 32 bit sp1

Yes and no. Think of 'platform' as a general header when looking at operating architectures (there are different types) and Vista choices.
Vista choices under the 'platform' 32-bit are:
• Windows Vista Home Basic 32-bit
• Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit
• Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit
• Windows Vista Business 32-bit
• Windows Vista Enterprise 32-bit

Another example of the "64-bit platform" and Vista choices are:

• Windows Vista Home Basic 64-bit Edition
• Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit Edition
• Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit Edition
• Windows Vista Business 64-bit Edition
• Windows Vista Enterprise 64-bit Edition

32 bit program to 64 bit opperating system

From the Autocad webiste:
System Requirements AutoCAD® Civil and AutoCAD® Civil 3D® 2009 Recommended System Requirements Recommended configuration (excluding server components used with project management capabilities):
  • Intel® Pentium® 4 (3 GHz or higher); AMD Athlon™; multiple processors supported, dual-core supported
  • 32-bit only: Microsoft® Windows Vista® Ultimate/Business/Enterprise, Microsoft® Windows XP (SP2)
Note: Windows XP 64 and Windows Vista 64 are supported in 32-bit compatibility mode only.

Here's how you should be able to run it in compatibility mode:
1. Right click on the Autocad Icon in your start menu
2. click on Properties
3. click on the Compatibility tab at the top
4. check the box next to Compatibility Mode and select Vista 32 bit if it is given as an option.

I don't have Vista here, but that is how it works in XP and I did do a search and it appears to be the same in Vista.

Upgrade vista home premium

As per my knowledge, there is no version of Vista called Vista Professional like in Windows XP.
Make sure what is the version to which you want to upgrade to from Vista Home Premium to Vista Business or Vista Ultimate.
The available versions of Vista Operating Systems along with the features supported from the Link below :
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-vista/compare-editions/default.aspx

However, if you want to Upgrade the current version of Vista to a higher version like Vista Business or Vista Ultimate, you need to purchase Vista Anytime Upgrade kit from any retail store or directly from Microsoft.
You can find the required information related to Anytime Upgrade Kit from the link below :
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-vista/get/anytime-upgrade-overview.aspx

However, make sure that you had created the Recovery Disks for your notebook using which you will be able to reinstall the preinstalled Operating Sytem along with all the Preinstalled Applications and Drivers after which you need to use the Vista Upgrade Kit to upgrade to higher version of Vista.
However, if you are currently having a 32 Bit Vista preinstalled in the Notebook, it is not possible to upgrade to a 64 Bit Vista since you can upgrade only a 32 Bit of Operating System to a higher version of 32 Bit Operating System and a 64 Bit Operating System to a higher version of 64 Bit Operating System.
Hope this helps....

Microsoft Bookshelf 2000

Right-click on the Bookshelf 2000 setup exe file, click Properties, Compatibility, click Windows XP SP2, OK. Proceed as usual. I got that from the Internet but I don't remember where. I'm using a Windows Vista Home Basic (HP Compaq Presario, 32-bit) - I haven't tried it on our Vista Ultimate (Core 2 Duo desktop 64-bit).
