Do you get any humming noise when you turn it ON?

How long its been you used the dishwasher last time...?

If you are getting an humming noise then Sounds like the water circulator pump is stuck. The motor tries to turn it (humming noise), but cannot. So a breaker trips (self reset). Not claiming this is actually the problem, but this is what the motor turns.

My Viking D3 Dishwasher - at start of cycle, it sounds as if it is working. However, the timer never counts down, the detergent is never released, and little-to-no water is released into dishwasher.

Let’s assume the dishwasher is working correctly because it turns on but nothing else works. If a dishwasher does not fill with water at the correct level, it will not continue to advance. You’re not getting water. Check hot water valve under sink. The one for dishwasher. Maybe someone shut it off on accident. Also,
Water deposits like lime, calcium will build up and clog the screen on the dishwasher’s hot water intake valve.
That would need cleaned out. The valve itself will go bad alone. Regardless, once it’s getting water the dishwasher will run. Please let me know!!

Dishwasher fills with water, then empties, fills then empties, and repeats this cycle a few times - then decides to work. then part way through cycle - it repeats this frustrating cycle, making the whole...

Hi, Your dishwasher may pre-heat the water. If so, and if the water entering the dishwasher is cool, the heater may take up to half an hour to heat the water. To avoid the wait, increase the incoming water temperature before turning on the dishwasher. Do that by running the kitchen sink faucet until the water runs hot. Or increase the temperature of the hot water to the entire house at the hot water heater.
Timers don't often fail. But if every other part of the dishwasher seems to be working properly and the timer knob seems to be stuck in one place--doing one function continuously--the timer may be at fault. Dishwasher timers can't be repaired. If yours is defective, replace it.

My GE Nautilus dishwasher takes water in and then stops and nothing happens. I tried flusing it with hot water and vinegar and no progress. Any ideas are very welcomed. Thank you.

Flushing the hose with hot water and vinegar would not help.
If the machine is filling and then stops, parts that may be responsible are the impeller pump and the control board.
If the machine is under filling, test also the floater switch.
If the water is not warm, check the heating system or the hot water supply.
If this machine has dual inlet, test that both solenoids are opening.

Kenmore Elite dishwasher Options light up but nothing runs.

The blinking "clean light" is a common problem with some of the Kenmore and Whirlpool models dishwashers.
The problem is usually attributed to water supply temperatures being too low when filling.

Apparently, there are some issues with the temperature sensing circuits in some dishwashers that causes an error code to be generated if a certain water temperature is not achieved in a specified time interval (this time may differ between models).
There is a reset sequence that you can try to clear the fault.
Push the NORMAL WASH then HEATED DRY buttons in that sequence two to three times.
The unit will enter diagnostics mode, but can be stopped by pressing the CANCEL button.
This will clear any existing faults and should return the dishwasher to normal operation.

To keep the fault from returning, it is recommended that you run your hot water faucet in the kitchen until it runs hot BEFORE you start the dishwasher.
This will heat the water in the supply line for the dishwasher (most dishwashers are fed from the kitchen sink supply line).

The theory is that if you fill the dishwasher with hot water from the start of the wash cycle instead of the cool water that is normally in the lines (especially if you have a hot water tank located far away from the kitchen), this should satisfy the requirements of the temperature sensing circuits.
If the fault reappears, there should be a tech sheet located inside the lower panel under the door that explains what the fault is.
The flashing light will be a series of flashes, followed by a pause.
If you indeed have a component problem, it will depend on the number of flashing lights in the sequence.
Refer to the tech sheet to determine WHAT component is affected and how to troubleshoot.

Water fills up dishwasher after complete maybe a day or two later

Sound like the hot water sonenoid is stuck in the open position. Locate this solenoid and tap it lightly with a small hammer while the hot water is open. If it does not stop it will beneficial to have this part replaced. I hope this will help.

My dishwasher is filling up with water but the water want get hot

The water needs to be hot before it goes into the dishwasher. Just before you start the machine, run the hot water faucet until the water gets hot.

Some dishwashers have a heat boost feature to sanitize the dishes, but it's not intended to take cold input water and make it hot.

Unit never washes...

Check water level:
Run the DW and wait for the main wash to start (water will fill. pause then complete fill) The water should be about 1/4 to 1/8 inch below the heating element. If not there..replace water inlet valve.

Dishwasher doesn't wash with hot water

just about ALL dishwashers only fill up with cold water (one pipe) the machine warms the water up etc, simple one to solve, just connect up so and use it, one cold water in, one waste pipe out

No power to dishwasher

depends on the sequence. many, but not all, dishwashers start with drain to get rid of the slops. if yours starts with fill, then no water supply will prevent progress.(you should be able to hear a low hum which is the valve energised) check also that the door is closing properly and latching. better to use cold water fill not hot
