Red Power and sleep lights flashing together and can't get TV on Sharp Aquos LCD TV
If the TV goes in standby, then it is in protection mode.
Ensure also that the fault is not coming from a faulty receiver box sending
bad signal, check if you get same problem on DVD with no receiver box
connected.
Try first leaving the TV power cord unplugged for some times, let say one hour or so.
The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the TV goes on protection there are only two possible causes.
1The
internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic
charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read
by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the
protection circuit.
2 The protection circuit detected a wrong
voltage or abroken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in
, starting the flashing light.
If you are in situation one, then the TV will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours,sometimes even minutes.
If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.
If under warranty contact the manufacturer ringing the number on the user manual

particular attention at inverter and power board, power board can be
inspected looking for bulged or leaking capacitors, then tested with a
multimeter. The inverter is more difficult to test , there is need to
read voltages, should be done by a tech. Also the LCD controller board can cause same problem
On Plasma, test Sustain (Ysus/Zsus) / Buffer boards , cables to plasma, digital board and power board.
On Rear Projection : check lamp, lamp ballast, power board, and convergence.
On CRT TVs, check ballast , flyback transformer, CRT, Tuner, Convergence.

power on the tv the picture comes in for couple of seconds and then the red power lights starts blinking and no picture. switch off from main switch on same thing happens
all off a sudden the tv stopped and red power light started blinking. if you power off from the main and switch on picture comes for a couple of seconds and goes and again red light blinking
Sharp Aquos LC 45GD1E power light keeps flashing red, no tv at at all, have tried switching off at mains, but no difference.
When you turn on the tv you hear the sound and see the tv, but after 2 seconds the screen goes black and the red power led flashes you cant turn on or off except for turning off power at wall
My brand new sharp aquos just stop working 2 days ago, the power and opc green ligths are constantly blinking and the screen it's just black.
Actually I'm in another country and I don't know the steps to use the warranty of my product.

I just bought a Aquos and after pluging everything, I turned it on.
the green power light just blinks and no tv image, screen is black
My sharp aquos LC32D43U (2 years old) just stop working today after 2 minutes. The power and opc green ligths are constantly blinking and the screen is just black. The remote doesn't work at all, I have to unplug the TV to switch it off.
