Here are a few things to try: 1) change the batteries. Weak batteries can cause unusual behavior. 2) make sure the board is on a stable and flat surface. 3) reset the connection to the Wii (using the buttons under the battery cover on the board and under the card slot cover on the Wii)
I had the same issue with my wii board; I tried to resynch the board and it did not work. I then decided to put in new batteries and resynch again and now it works. Even if you don't think your batteries are that old try to resynch it with new batteries in the wii board, in case the batteries that you are currently using my not be producing enough power.
iv got the same problem too, iv resync it and nothing, wiped the wii clean and started again and nothing (mine went down just b 4 xmas and 'santa' got my boy the wii fit plus and he ant been able 2 play it yep) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE some1 help
You get off press a wait for it to say step on and then get on. If it keeps saying it after you get off, take out the batteries and get a new battery pack, don't step on it at all until it loads.
According to the Nintendo support site, here's what to do.
Your movements are not being correctly detected
Make sure that the Wii Balance Board is placed properly in front of the TV: The blue power light should be facing away from the TV. If the Wii Balance Board is facing the wrong way, your movements will be reversed.
Check the battery life of the batteries in the Wii Balance Board. If the battery level is low, try a fresh set of batteries.
Check to make sure nothing is pressing against the bottom of the Wii Balance Board. If you do find anything pressing against the bottom (such as carpet), try using the foot extensions.
If the Wii Balance Board is still not correctly detecting your movement, please call 1-800-255-3700 for assistance.
get a new board or get it fixed,
try different batteries
dont put any unessessary weight on it
dont stomp on it or jump
be gentle with it
get a new peice so no re-scyn
make sure its not too close too the wii
Ok I feel a little silly, there is a sync button on the console (inside the flap by the power on button) and the board (inside the battery compartment on the underside of the board) as soon as I pressed them at the same time it worked. Goodluck everyone.
