Halo, I have the same problem with biteSMS. After I restart my phone, the screen is stuck at the apple logo. I already deleted all the biteSMS application files from the iphone using iphone browser. I saw the solution about editing the entry in com.apple.springboard.plist, but I am not sure, because when I open it using the notepad, it looks like this:
    bplist00ö
    ULabel\MachServices_EnvironmentVariablesXOnDemandZServiceIPC_ProgramArguments_com.apple.SpringBoardñ
    _com.apple.springboard.migserver ñ
    _DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES_e/Library/Frameworks/SummerBoard.framework/SummerBoard.dylib:/var/root/Library/biteSMS/biteSMSsb.dylib¡_8/System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/SpringBoard

could someone please let me know which one I should remove from the above command?

    thanks very much

Hi. I had the same problem with biteSMS v1.1.5.
It took me some time to figure out that the DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARY entry in:
/System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.SpringBoard.plist for biteSMS
made my SpringBoard crash all the time... (Rebooting with Apple-Logo)

After i edited the file with plutil, and removing the entry, all was ok again :-))
(You do not even have to reconvert it back to Binary form..)

The support team at biteSMS would like to work through the problem with you (to see if it's related to the app), can you please email us at [email protected].
Also email what iPhone version are you running?
Have you also tried a cold-reset, hold down power and home button for 10-secs together?

MY iphone is not turning on

If the iPhone is fully charged and still not turning on, try a hard reboot. Press the "Home" and "Power" buttons simultaneously and hold. The reboot process should start. You can tell the process has started when the Apple symbol appears on the screen.
  • If the iPhone still does not power on, try connecting the iPhone to the computer using the iPhone USB cable. ITunes should recognize the iPhone and power it on.
  • Contact Apple.com/support/iphone. Enter in the serial number of your phone and a description of the problem. Apple support will then give you a number to contact if the problem is still not resolved online.

Iphone 3G wont reboot...stuck on apple logo...

What you can do is hold the power On/Off button + Home button at the same time. Your iphone will reboot. When you see the apple logo, quickly let go the power On/Off button. If you want to jailbreak your iphone, go to www.blackra1n.com and download the jailbreaking tool.

    Follow these easy steps below...
    - Turn off your iphone
    - Run the jailbreaking tool
    - Turn on your iphone
    - The jailbreaking tool will everything by itself.
    - If you want to unlock your iphone after it is jailbroken, hit the blackrain icon and select install Cydia and unlock with Blackrain.

Iphone won't boot past Apple logo after installing bitesms on 3GS. Phone will not connect with computer. Running on 3.1.2. Thanks Jon

Sometimes the iPhone can lockup and stop working or just show the Apple symbol and not do anything else. But panic not, normally an app has caused the phone to crash and it needs to be restarted.
    Here’s how you do it:
Sometimes just pressing and holding the home button for about 5 seconds, can help. But if not try this:
Press and hold the iPhone’s Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for several seconds, or until you see the apple logo on the screen.
If you still have no success with the reset the only other option is to do a restore using iTunes. This will wipe you iPhone bust should get wit working again.

    IPhone rebooting automatically.

Remove the offending apps. Make a backup of your phone. Restore the iPhone to factory settings and the restore your backup to the phone. If that doesn't work you may have a hardware issue. If apple doesn't help you can send it to iPhone 3GS Repair or do it yourself there is a guide that shows you how to disassemble the phone at iPhone Repair Guide.

Iphone 3g 3.0 stuck on iphone apple logo loading screen

If iPhone won't turn on, or the display freezes or doesn't respond
    1. Press and hold the Home button for at least six seconds, until the application you were using quits.
    2. If that doesn't work, turn iPhone off and turn it on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPhone for a few seconds until a red slider appears, and then slide the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
    3. If that doesn't work, reset iPhone. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

    More resets:
    Try This:
    1. Remove Sim Card
    2. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until Apple logo appears
    3. Replace Sim Card
    4. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until normal phone screen appears.

    Also, Try this:
1.) Shut down the iPhone 3G.
    2.) Start up iTunes
