SOURCE: HX-P4241W appears yellow. Left and Right of screen are yellow

Yellow is the lack of blue. It can happen when you are running your contrast - which is your overall light level - too high.

Try turning down your contrast. On CRT tech, contrast should always be run at half what the factory allows as full, on the user controls. Full up is what calibrators call Torch Mode, and is NOT the way to get performance to be in the linear operating range of CRT tech.

If your sides are more yellow than your middle, your set may need lenstriping. Mild yellow on the sides is not uncommon, and usually not noticed. But heavy yellow on the sides would indicate that the blue image needs work on white field uniformity.

Yellow is the lack of blue, in CRT tech.

SOURCE: blurry.....convergence problem???

I agree with Shuttle83,

except with point #4 and #8,

#4 If you buy OEM Sanyo IC Convergence chips ruff looking black with rounded corners and up them to the next one up they will last longer. if you buy generic shiny smooth black with sharp corners they may only last 5 months. remember you get what you pay for the OEM's are usally $12-15 each, generics are $7-12

#8 you should reset to the factory settings after replacing the Convergence ships before trying to adjust again.

good luck!

Tv gets light blueand stays that way...comes back to perfect color the back to blue X-RAy looking it is a samsung pcl545r

Behind the screen, there are three color tubes: Red Green and Blue.

Unfortunately, rear projection screens often have these problems and the tubes do go out after extended use.

Take the television to a TV Repair shop to have this fixed. But in the long run, this may end up costing you a lot more than if you would purchase a new TV. The light tubes are fairly expensive.

No green or blue color in pictures!

You need to find a qualified servicer. You have component failure.
Look for TV Repair on craigslist or yellowbook.

Skewed picture

Is it a projection? DLP? LCD? etc... depending on the type the suspicion i have is it is out of focus.  The symptom of writing triplicate comes from the thing being out of wack.. a tech needs to fix it.  all this is assuming ;you have a projection tv of some sort.
