Easier than you think.Pull your Crown out to the FIRST stop (were you would normally set your date). Push the "A" button (top chrono button) for your dial at the "3 oclock" area, Push the "B" button(bottom chron button) for the second hand.

Want to use larger second hand and set other to zero. have small one working now and the larger one would work if i pressed the top button on side of watch now it wont do anything if i press button dont...

This watch is a chronograph. The true second hand is the one you mentioned that is currently running (what is called the subdial hand).

To use the chronograph hand,

1) Press the button at the 2:00 location to start timing.
2) Press the button at the 2:00 location to stop timing.
3) Press the button at the 4:00 position to reset the chronograph hand(s) to zero.

To reset the chronograph hands to zero, set the crown to either click position one (usually date setting) or two (usually time setting), and use each button to test which subdial hand it will zero out.

Usually it is the first crown click position, and pressing the 2:00 or 4:00 button to zero out.

Warning: Leaving the chronograph function running will drain your watch battery much faster than using the standard second hand, as it is a complication meant for the purpose of timing an activity or other event.

If this does not zero your watch, you must either send it back to Michele, or visit your nearest Certified Master Horologist to assess the issue, as the movement may have a defect.

The sweep hands don't align back to zero after replacing battery

Pull out the stem to the second position then push the chronograph start/stop button a few times to move the minute hand to the zero position. Then pull the stem out to the 3rd position and adjust the second hand again by pushing the start/stop (top) button to move it to the zero position. Once you get them both to top zero push the stem back all the way and screw it in tight. Tim

Utc Dial does not match Digital utc readout and I can't for the life of me figure out how to sync them

I finally figured this out... You must zero all the hands by setting the mode to CHR and pulling the stem to the second stop. Go through the process of setting the hour and second hand to zero. The secret is that zeroing the MINUTE hand also controls the UTC display zeroing. You will have to crank it until the UTC display reads 0:00 (24:00). Then go back and set the time and so on as usual.

Just got it out of the box. Second hand resets to 11:58 rather than 12:00 and the tenth of a second counter has a wobble in it and stops counting after 30 seconds.

to zero out the second hand pull the stem out to either the first or second position and then use the top and bottom butttons to zero it out. please rate my solution

Resetting stopwatch dials - Armani AR5331

When you reset the big seconds hand to zero, the hour and the minute hand are not engaged in this function, so, there is no fault with the watch movement.
Do as follows:
1) pull out crown and set the hour and minute hands at 6 o'clock (they must be lined perfectly in opposite directions)
2) push the crown in half way back (not completely)
3) push and hold the button at 2 o'clock (set the big seconds hand to zero) and release it when done
4) when big seconds hand is zeroed push the crown back in
5) pull the crown out again and set desired time
6) push the crown back in.
If all actions described do not work, you will have to visit your nearest watch repair shop and ask to refit chronograph hand as in this case it is out of balance (not pointed at exact mark).

Need to know how to operate Cartier Tank Francaise Chronography W

The top button is for chronograph function and puts the chronograph seconds hand in motion. The bottom button is for resetting chronograph seconds hand to zero.
Do as follows:
1) push the top button once- seconds hand starts moving,
2) push the top button once more- seconds hand stops,
3) push the bottom button once- seconds hand returns to zero.
You can repeat as many times as you like- seconds hand will allways start the countdown from zero.
Depending on what movement your watch has(mechanical or quartz), there can be more variations, but the basics are as described.
If you need more info, supply full info of your watch(make, model, numbers, etc.), please.

I have a seiko flight watch, unknown of the model, second hand doesn't reset

I guess the blue faced SEIKO is a Flightmaster (Model: 7T92- OCFO)and it is a great watch. This is a common problem with most chronographs and this happens due to misalignment with usage.

All you need to do is pull out the locking crown all the way out (2nd Step) as if setting time. and then press and hold the top / left button and at first the milli seconds hand resets. after which you have to press the borrom / right button to move the seconds hand in to place. and then reset the time and lock the crown. You can repeat this for Milli Seconds, Seconds, Minutes & hours hands.
Hope this helps,
Krishna Chaitanya GT.

Reset Stopwatch Hands on CL1111 ?

Try setting the crown to position 2 - i.e. the position normally used to adjust the date.  Then use the top and bottom stopwatch buttons to adjust the minute hand and 1/10th hand respectively.
