I understand you are receiving an F30 code on your Frigidaire range, model# PLEF398AC, and it will not turn on. I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power, set the clock, and start any cycle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.
The CLOCK pad is used to set the clock. The clock may beset for 12 or 24 hour time of day operation. The clock has beenpreset at the factory for the 12 hour operation. When the range isfirst plugged in, or when the power supply to the range has beeninterrupted, the timer in the display will flash with power failure "PF" Instructions: To set the clock (example below for 1:30):1. Press the round "CLOCK" button. "CLO" will appear in the display (Fig. 2).2. Press the round "1" "3" "0" pads to set the time of day to 1:30 (Fig. 3)."CLO" will appear in the display. Press the round "Start" button. "CLO" willdisappear and the clock will start (Fig. 4).
THAT CODES MEANS EITHER THE PROBE SENSOR OR THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL IS BAD. UNPLUG. WITH WIRING DIAGRAM AND OHM METER, TEST THE TWO WIRES GOING TO PROBE. IF YOU GET ABOUT 1100 OHMS, YOU HAVE A BAD CONTROL. IF YOU GET 0 OR INFINITY, IT'S THE SENSOR OR THE WIRES BETWEEN THE PROBE AND THE CONTROL
Range made by Frigidaire, cannot pull up info right now for that F30 code, just the F3 which means something is wrong in the sensor circuit, sensor, wiring harness or the EOC/clock...what does your tech sheet tell us this F30 means??? What was the ohm reading on the old sensor.....if changing this did not solve the problem about down to checking the wiring harness, if it is ok back to the clock causing the problem if the F30 pertains to the sensor circuit failure....
Hi jacksmdmat, Your f30 problem may be a bad sensor circuit. It may have an open connection or just plain defective sensor. Check the connection between the clock and the sensor as well as disconnect and measure the resistance of the sensor - should be about 1090ohms at room temp (75F)
