I am getting an UE code 9 times out of 10 that i use the machine. I have rearranged clothes, sorted clothes according to manf. guidelines, added a extra item, removed an item.....UGH...help, i am very dissatisfied with this machine. It is only 1 1/2 yr old. It has done this from day 1, have had a repairman out to replace something.

You may have a problem with the ball balance sensor. One of the things I have noticed is when the installers deliver and set up the washers, they get a little too rough and cause a dent in the rear panel of the washer. In the rear panel, the ball balance sensor is mounted onto the frame. If the tub spins too wildly, it will hit the ball balance sensor causing it to go UE. But if the back panel is pushed in too much, the tub will actually make contact with the ball balance sensor too early causing a UE error code. You will need to have a qualified LG technician look into it.

The UE error or fault code indicates that the load of clothes is unbalanced. Try rearranging the clothes. Also, if you are only washing a few items, you may need to add a few more to allow the tub to balance. Also, check to be sure the machine is level and that all four feet are touching the floor. Tighten the locking nuts on the feet to lock them into place. If that doesn't seem to be the problem, either the suspension rods or shock absorbers may be broken or worn out.
UE means unbalance error. It means the machine can't balance the clothes in the drum so it won't spin to prevent excessive vibration and damage to the machine. Usually opening the door and rearranging the clothes helps, or take some out then put onto a rinse and spin. If there is just a few items in then it will struggle to spread them around and balance.

Thanks for using FixYa. The error code UE means there are some heavy clothing is loaded. Rearrange items to help balance the load. If the imbalance is heavy, the washer will make several attempts to restart the spin cycle. If an imbalance is still detected, the washer will stop and will display the error code UE. In case, if the load is small then you need to add 2-5 clothes to balance the load. If the load is out of balance then you need to rearrange the clothes to balance it. Although the Washer has an imbalance detection and correction system but if still the problem persists then it means that it is due to control error and needs to replaced preferably by a qualified service technician.

• Water supply is not adequate in area. • Water supply taps are not completely open. • Water inlet hose is bent. • The filter of the inlet hose clogged.
Solution: Check another tap in the house. Fully open tap. Straighten hose. Check the filter of the inlet hose.
UE: • Load is too small. • Load is out of balance. • The appliance has an imbalance detection and correction system. If individual heavy articles are loaded (bath mat, bath robe, etc.) and the imbalance is too great, after several attempts to restart the spin cycle the machine will stop and the error code will be displayed.

For "ue" an unbalanced load is sensed three times; re-adjust your load in the machine. What is the capacity of your machine, you could weigh your dry clothes........refer manual.
For e1, it could be a water sensor problem. Check to see if the inlet valve is okay and not clogged, water shd be in good pressure. If this is okay, open up behind after taking the plug off the wall. There is a thin tube coming from the switch area to the outlet pump area; disconnect this from the top carefully and blow into it, it should be free; if it is clogged you will hav a water level problem. Unblock and refit carefully. .....& rate me if helped.
An UE Error Code is indicative of a “Unbalanced Error”. This indicates that the drum is not spinning in a smooth rotation. It may be necessary to rearrange the load in the drum. I found this answer on the lg web site.
