The Screen on my RCA tablet shows but the tablet is not working, what can i do?

sounds froze reset it. turn off first I would power button and volume down first this won't erase your data. just reset

this version will delete your data. found it at link below

Turn off the tablet and hold down the volume up button and then the power button. Release both when the dog appears. After the dead Android appears, there are three methods of bringing up the menu, and you'll need to find the one that works on your device:
1. Press power and volume up buttons (works on my family's)
or
2. Press volume up
or
3. Tap the Android

Navigate the menu with the volume keys, and select an option with the power button.

7" Tablet. How do I hard reset my tablet ?

Start with the tablet fully powered off (not just in standby). To force the tablet to a fully off state, hold the power button pressed for until it powers down. This can take 10 to 20 seconds.

Hold the volume up button pressed (some devices may use the volume down button), and then press and hold the power button, until a small menu appears. Release the power button and then the volume button.

Use the volume up/down buttons to select the required menu entry, and then tap the power button to action the selection.

When I try doing a hard reset. I can not get it to boot beyond the green Android guy. It shuts off or will not get me to the choice menu. Any suggestions?

On an android tablet of mine I have to hold the power and the volume (-) button down at the same time and keep holding them for about fifteen to twenty seconds until finally a menu with green text comes up. To select the text option I want, I have to scroll with the volume (+) button and when I'm on the right option I have to activate it using one short push of the power button.

The option I choose to do a hard reset is *wipe data/factory reset*. On my tablet, when I choose and activate this option it takes me to another screen with about six lines of *no no no* text and one line of the reset option. I have to scroll to the reset option using the volume(+) option and again use a short push of the power button to activate it. Then, it does it's thing and turns off. I then give it about ten seconds and then I hold the power button down for five or so seconds and it then it reboots to factory fresh condition. It takes a couple of minutes to get it done I guess because it's reloading all the apps, etc.

What are the buton combonations for the factory reset on an android tablet

There are few combinations and you'll have to be quick to get the moment to press all 3 at once. Don't work every time as you have only a second or less to press the correct combination:

Each phone manufacturer has its own Recovery Mode key combinations.

You'll have to try each combination until you find the correct one for your Android phone or Tablet.

* Combination 1 - Volume Up + Camera button.
* Combination 2 - Volume Down + Power button.
* Combination 3 - Volume Up + Power button.
* Combination 4 - Volume Up + Home + Power button.
* Combination 5 - Volume Down + Volume Up + Power button.
* Combination 6 - Home + Camera button.
* Combination 7 - Home + Power button
