What I believe they were mentioning is Flash the BIOS to the most current version, which should on the Acer support site (Support.acer.com or such)
If the old battery wasn't charging and the new one doesn't either then there also may be a hardware issue with the charging circuit if the BIOS flash doesn't resolve, at which time you discuss that issue with Acer if under warranty.

make sure ur wifi button is on.if yes & it is not working then update ur driver.

Have you updated your system BIOS with the latest download from Aspire?

This upgrade is particularly important if you have updated your Vista with service pack one or two (which may have been done automatically depending on your Windows update setting).

To upgrade your system BIOS download the latest version from the link below-

simply run the file that is provided in the zipped form in order to update your system bios which should resolve this issue unless it is hardware related which is usually not the case on this laptop.

from your description, it's windows problem.
You can either reload your operating system or edit the windows registry.

I experience that already, system date /time is loosing, You need to replace the cmos battery and set the time in the bios setup.

I guess there no other fault except the cmos battery busted.

If following is the true: both your music from cd and from hard drive are scratchy I am sorry to announce but your card is going bad. If not let me know and I will try to help you.

Ps. try also following unplug your computer and remove battery wait for some time and than turn it on, while battery is out and it is not plugged in.

That's weird. can you check that you have the proper timezone settings under "date/time settings" and that your system is not automatically syncing itself through the "Internet Time" tab?
