I had a Garmin installed in my new Volvo XC90. When I make or receive a call with my paired cell phone, I have no audio either through the phone or the car speaker. I cannot hear the caller or vice verse. This is the case with either calls I initiate or received calls. I need to move 50 feet outside the vehicle to have audio even if the care is turned off.

I have a Volvo with the built in Garmin and want to add the MSN receiver, but I can't foind a Volvo dealer who know's what the part is for the Volvo MSN receiver. I call Garmin ans was told that you can only use the Volvo provide receiver.

Does anyone have an answer?

PS tell the guy with the blue tooth problem to turn off the Garmin Bluetooth and use the Volvo system, no problem.

What model number is the GARMIN GPS?

Is your new Volvo equipped with the Bluetooth handsfree system?

It's possible that your GARMIN has paired itself to your cellphone unintentionally via Bluetooth (many GARMIN units have Bluetooth), and therefore intercepting your cellphone audio.

If you >intended< to use the GARMIN for this puropse, maybe your hands-free system in the Volvo is competing for your cellphone audio, and needs to be de-activated.
