Gstanz52, Oh, Oh, looks like someone needs a new wide screen lcd monitor!!! What is the "date of manufacture" from the rear label???? Maybe the "black screen of death" has finally caught up with your 6 to 8 year old lcd monitor. I would guess that the internal electronic ballast circuit (inverter) has failed and will not supply 500 to 1000 vac to light-up the cold-cathode-fluorescent-lamps" any more!!! Next thing to do is go HERE: http://www.lesliewong.us/blog/2005/05/02/hp-pavilion-f1703-flat-panel-display-blackout-solution/ Do some reading to determine if a possible DIY refurbishment of your unit is in your future. If you want to try refurbishing unit, then do some reading in the fixya profiles of "budmrtn" "buddymc" "12fixlouie" (me) for more information and or do comment to this post. Then you should watch some video clips at YOUTUBE of owners/ technicians disassembling and repairing typical CCFL back-lit lcd monitors.
My advice to you is: Get new higher resolution Wide Screen unit. Then and only then, attempt a refurb job on F50 to keep as a working antique spare monitor. 12fixlouie

Could you post a picture of the speaker problem?

The FM antenna is just a single wire about 1 metre long though you could use a dipole. It will take a standard Female TV Aerial Socket (picture attached).

I have just bought a new LG 42LM620T TV. The picture is fine but every so often the sound is a little distorted. It's as though the sound has been recorded at too high a level for the speakers. It

No doubt in the audio menu for your TV there are several tweaks available in there - maybe even a graphic equalizer and perhaps other potential modifications. Access the audio menu with your remote and play around in there. You may be able to soften the audio up a bit. Good luck.

I want grt pictures from phone to my computer because my phone is torn up i can only talk on my hone in speaker m,odr if not in speaker mode icant ear anything

You can picture message the pictures to your email address, that's usually the easiest way. Or, you might be able to use the cord and CD that came with the phone to plug it into your computer, install the software from the CD, and pull the pictures off, not all phones come with this though.

I have a plasma Samsung with picture but no sound

Internal sound board/amp is probably bad. But make sure that the speakers were not turned off in the sound settings menu for the television. You could try hooking up and external reciever to the audio output jacks of the TV and see if you get any audio from there. If you do at least you can still get sound from your tv...even though it is not from the internal speakers.

I have the philips hts3440/37 none of the speakers work.

Doubtful that it is as serious as a fuse, unless it was working before and now it's not.

Are you getting no sound when watching DVD's? Try adjusting the volume on the home theater system - press the SURR button until it says "Dolby" or something like that.

Make sure it is connected like this:

Volume not working

Hi! Did anyone accidentally dropped the laptop? The speakers of these toy laptops are very flimsy in its construction. If you can open up the toy, you can fix the speakers (actually there is only one speaker). Take out the phillips screws under the unit and open it up. You may see that the speaker is not in it's place or it broke into two. Don't worry though, you can still put them back together (carefully). You may apply a small amount of glue on the speaker's edge to prevent the speaker from breaking apart again in case the toy accidentally falls (again). Hope I helped solved your problem. Good day.
