We just purchased the fridge one week ago. It hums quite loudly for
lengthy periods, which is annoying. I don,t think that a brand new

Happens when the bearings in the fan or compressor motor are getting worn out. make sure there isn't a piece of cardboard cowling or debris hitting the fan.
Normally all what is heard is HUM which needs one to listen. Hiowever is you experience a high noise then being a priviledge customer you need to get a consensus to your viewpoint as the fridge is covered with warranty.
Please check for SYMPATHETIC vibrations on the rear panel due to loose fitting which can happen with transportation.

hi it could be a bad neutral connection on your plug or inside on your high voltage transformer check the plug for burning and try plugging it in a different socket
I would call the people you bought it from and tell them you do not feel safe with the way your range is working at this time. If you have to lie and tell them you smell gas do it, I did. and they fixed mine free of charge
