Depending on age of phone, a charger should be no problem. As regards a number, you need to buy a simcard, usually. That will then assign you a phone number. Then you have to pay for the calls!

SOURCE: tracfone

Absolutely, what you need to do first though, is have your IMEI and SIM serial numbers handy from the first phone. Simply push the center, round button in the middle of the top array, and it should open to Prepaid, select that and go to the 2cd option which is IMEI and select that, and write down that number. Then do the same thing with the 3rd option, which is SIM. Once you have those 2 numbers in hand, do the same ith your new phone. Once done, call the 1 800 number for your area and speak with a represenative and they will walk you through the rest of the proscess and add your existing minutes to your new phone.

There is a red blinking light on my dyson when I first plug it in to be charged. Please advise

First, I'm not a Dyson Tech, but I have worked on battery operated recharge devices.
* Is this new or second hand? Most chargers for any device will blink red if the charge on battery is so low that the charger will not recognize the battery. If so (old battery) then got to get a replacement (New) battery.
Aloha, ukeboy57
FYI there is a slight possible fix for this old battery. But it's a long shot. Check on you tube on your specific battery "save ________ dead battery." (you force charge it to a reasonable level. But you didn't hear it from me ;-)

I have a Nokia phone which , I think , is about 29 years old . The only identification number I can find , having opened it , is BLC-2 3,6V Made in China . How do I increase volume ?

Hi, The identification number you gave is actually the battery number and voltage! If you can remove the battery then underneath is the phone model number, if you can tell us the numbers you can see we will be able to help you!

I put new batteries in my Cobra 2-way radios and charged them for 24 hours. Still shows "low battery" when I turn them on.

Check your charger and battery contacts. Cleaning battery contacts on the radio and charger with a pencil eraser will remove dust, dirt, debris, and hand oil which may cause the battery to charge poorly. Secondly, you might want to check that your charger itself is working properly. If you have a second known good radio you might try charging it on the same charger.

Best regards.

Batteries won't charge

There are a few reasons why a battery won't charge. Make sure that the contacts on the phone and the charging cradle are clean. (Unplug the base or charger.) A pencil eraser is good initial cleaner; electronic contact cleaner sprays are a second option. Remove the battery and check the contacts inside the handset and the battery as well. Next replace the battery pack. If you add a comment with your phone's model number, then I can try to find the correct battery. (Stores like Battery Mart may have a compatible battery.)

The final possible problem is that the charging system is bad. If your phone has multiple handsets, try a different charger. If the phone allows you to add handsets, try getting a new handset. The new handset will come with a new charger. (I've never seen the chargers sold without the handset but you could try Uniden customer service. If the base station is the only handset cradle, you'll probably need to replace the phone if a new battery and clean contacts don't work.

If your Uniden phone is under warranty, contact the company.

I hope this helps.

Batter charge is not wthsatnding for more than 30 mins

Hello - You didn't mention which phone you have, but if it is a year or two old or more it's not unusual for the stock battery to slowly loose it's capacity to hold a charge. The other possibility is the charger is defective but that's unlikely.

I suggest that you buy another battery (most phones have less expensive OEM versions of the battery available from third party vendors you will find online). Worst case scenario, you have a second backup battery on hand (I always keep one in my car).

If the battery or charger is not the issue you have an issue with the phone that would require repair (or a new phone, depending on the economics surrounding the value of your current phone).

Good Luck,

Can't use the second phone GE model 25861GE3 5.8

You may have several problems. First, you should verify that the 2nd phone works. Unplug the battery from the "good" phone and place it into the "bad" phone. Then try to reset the "bad" phone by placing in the homebase charger for 2o seconds.

If this doesn't fix the 2nd phone, then it has an internal problem, possibly.

As far as the 2nd charger goes, please verify that it works by placing the "Good" phone in it to see if it will charge it.

Additionaly, you may need to "reset" the whole system. Do this by :
1 Unplug phone line, power to charger base, and remove the batteries.
2 Wait a couple of minutes.
3 Plug in battery first, then phone line, and finally the power cord.

Then try to set the phones in the basecharger. (If the new battery is not charged yet, then you will have to charge it first!)
