1/18/08 purchased Toshiba DVD player and was told to go to the store and get a gift card for purchase on a blue-ray DVD player. I went by the store and they told me to contact you. I tried the web site bestbuy.com/dvd but did not get a response etc. Can you help me with this??? Glenda Mueller

If you purchased a Toshiba HD-DVD player from your local Best Buy™ store before February 23rd, 2008, you may be eligible to receive a $50.00 Best Buy™ gift card. Many of our customers should have already received notification of this offer and their gift cards, but if you have not yet received anything in the mail I would strongly suggest contacting us directly for further assistance. You can reach a Consumer Relations agent by calling our toll-free hotline at 888-Best-Buy (888-237-8289), and requesting to speak with an agent regarding a store policy question.
Please keep in mind however, that not all DVD players are eligible for this offer. Combination HD-DVD/Blu-ray players, computers with HD-DVD ROM drives, and upconvert DVD players do not qualify as eligible products at this time.
I would also suggest making sure that you have the receipt or order confirmation page from your purchase handy when you contact Consumer Relations, as your order number or Customer Service PIN number will be necessary to ensure that you qualify.
