I tried to open flip share and run the program that on the camera, That wouldn't work. So I open the cam file then proceed to transfer all movies into another folder that I created on my desktop. Once transfer was done. I then proceed to delete all videos from cam. Once deleting the videos from cam also videos I transfer unto my laptop was deleted as well. What do I do. Are all my videos lost? Someone Please Help!

You don't state the model / type of camera which makes it more difficult to find a solution. First, read your manual thoroughly.
are you sure it's a video file ?
You can't open it probably because your computer is looking for a jpeg file type and the file is not of this type, it's possibly a sony movie file type, I don't know what that is, it's possible that a still picture (jpg) has been saved, as well your movie which is elsewhere, as a summary of your video. Usually a jpg file is a single still picture, and in windows this a default recognized type and double clicking on the file will open the picture. I suggest the general way to proceed I to first verify the the file is a movie file, and then either run the file through a type conversion program or jst change the type (file extension, after the dot) to appropriate type and if necessary search thr internet or a program. In the last resort contact Sony.

I ca not get my flip share to download the pictures anymore. An error box pops every time.

You can try to go to my computer, find the file that the camera is on, and then leave that window open. Then go to my documents, leave that window open. Go back to my computer folder. Click and grab the video file and drag it over to the my videos file and let go of the mouse so it will drop in that folder. Otherwise try kodak easy share or quicktime
