My DH 304 is a hand-me-down so I don't have a manual but it did come with a hose attachment which is plastic tube with a threaded end to which you attach a hose. The other end of the tube goes through a hole in the back of the unit and then through a foam screen inside the unit to slip over the drain plug. Aligning the tube and the drain plug can be tricky; it is helpful to remove the bucket to see if you're getting the tube onto the drain plug. Once you have the tube attached to the drain plug, align the tube in the hole in the rear of the unit so that the tab on the tube is inserted into the slot at the hole in the back of the unit.

While I don't have your model I believe if you REMOVE the bucket and look UP to the top of the bucket holder you will see a screw on projection to screw the hose onto. Also the hose connection could be on the rear or bottom of the dehumidifier. The bucket will more than likely not go back inside the humidifier with the hose attached....

My dehumidifier bucket fills and wont drain thru the drain hose

* Brand and model# needed for specific instructions.
*** following is for the Kenmore dehumidifier ***
* Check your warranty and call for service.
*** The following is for information only ***
* I had one of these dehumidifier. I've used both the drain bucket by itself and well as the hose attachment.
* the bucket has a hose cap at the bottom to allow a typical garden hose to be attached. Remove the cap and attach the hose.
* If you want to use just the bucket then you will need to remove the garden hose and re-cap the bucket. Otherwise the water will just drain on the floor. You can find a replacement cap at any hardware or garden shop.
* There is a sensor switch under the drain bucket. This senses if there is a bucket present and it will turn off the unit once it's full of water.
*** The bucket must be present for this dehumidifier to work ***
* You must place the bucket in the right position for the unit to come on. The attached hose must move freely up and down to prevent the bucket from being weighed down and turning off the unit as it thinks the bucket is full. Lifting the hose a bit up and down will give you an idea if it's too heavy.
* Final; there is an adjustment knob in the front to determine how dry the air you want. I've used this unit to dry out wet carpets in a room so it's set at max and usually takes about 1-2 days to dry out a room (in Hawaii with 60% humidity). You will need to set this up and adjust it for your purpose.

I HAVE AIDYLIS DEHUMIDIFIER#0526011 THAT WHEN HOOKED UP WITH A FLOOR DRAIN STILL LETS WATER GO DOWN INTO THE CATCH BUCKET AND NOT COMPLEATLY OUT THE DRAIN

id ck the drain hose connection for build up of fouling material , the symptom you describe usually occurs when the hose cant drain all the water the machine makes

a wet/dry vac is perfect for this (set to wet) and some even allow you to turn airflow around to blow air as well , this is perfect to clear a stopped up hose (point end into bucket)

Direct drain

2 possibilities: #1The port that you plugged the hose onto need to be drilled so the water can come out and enter the hose. #2 The hose cannot be higher at ANY point than the bucket. Physics rules apply and the water will always fill the lowest point. Keep the hose low or raise the dehumidifier up.

Don't see anywhere to hook up hose to the bucket? So that it will continously drain. Model HDN655E-rb

The drain plug should be on the rear of the unit about 1/2 way up the back of the unit. It has a screw off cap and rubber plug. Keep these & don't lose them. You will need them, whenever you stop using the hose drain. Most folks put them in the water bucket for safe keeping.

The garden hose can not exceed 48" in length and slope down and straight to the floor drain. Drainage relies entirely on gravity.

Hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

How do you hook it up to a floor drain?

With most portable dehumidifiers use a bucket to catch the condensate. Then the bucket is full the dehumidifier stops, then you need to empty it and replace the bucket to get the dehumidifier to start working again.

To make this unit run continually, the bucket can be modified so a garden hose can be attached and the hose can be feed into a floor drain. To do this look at the bottom of the bucket, there should be a hose connector where you can attach a standard garden hose. You will need to drill out the center of the hose connector with a 1/4" drill bit. Then you can attach the hose to the bucket and the other end into the floor drain.

Goldstar dehumidifier

The hose connector does not drain the bucket, it drains the condensate before it enters the bucket. Tube passes through back of dehumidifier by the cord wrap area. (you may have to remove a small cover)
