I have a DISH Network ViP722 DTV Receiver / 350-Hours Video.... Whenever I have my brightness setting below 40 on my LG TV, my Dish DVR will no longer respond to its Dish issued remote control. If I turn the brightness anywhere above 40, the DVR works fine. How can I fix this?

Hello! Daniel Busa with Dish Network. That would be a case of remote interference. You'll need a model 6.3 or 6.4 remote. You can set it to a uhf frequency instead of an ir that will correct the issue.

How do i set up my wr7 remote with DIsh VIP722 DVR?

I have listed the steps below to assist with programming the remote to your TV. If you have any other questions, let me know at [email protected].

You can lookup codes if needed here: http://www.mydish.com/support/apps/remot...

1.) Press and hold the clear TV button until all mode lights light up.
2.) Release and TV light will be blinking.
3.) Enter code and press #. The TV button should flash 3 times.
4.) Try functions (Volume, Power, etc..) and see if it is working.
5.) If no function, repeat steps 1-4 with another code.

Today I get home and my dish dvr has a loud fan sound like a computer fan that wont stop running it doesnt matter if the dvr is on or off

Hello this is Nick Franta with DISH Network.

The DVR fan does typically runs most of the time the receiver is on (or recently turned off). Since the DVR controls the option of stopping live programming and skipping back it is always in use so the fan will continually run. If the sound continues non-stop for the next 48-72 hours we may want to send a replacement receiver for you. You can contact me at [email protected] if it does continue to be troublesome.

0521 code on dvr

Hello! Daniel Busa with Dish Network I saw your post and would like to apologize for the inconvenience. If you've gotten that error message it may be a sign your hard drive is down. If you reset the reciever by unplugging it and it keeps happening you will need a replacement.

Guest,

Are you still having problems with your DVR receiver? Try unplugging the receiver for 10 seconds and plugging back in. The receiver will reboot and acquire satellite signal. If this doesn't fix the problem there may be an issue with the receiver. I hope this helps.
