Hi! I bought a Toshiba SA60 laptop through my friend from holland.The language in the windows xp program was in dutch.I reinstalled windows-xp in English language.Can I use the original product key/code of the dutch lang. windows-xp in installing the Indian version of windows-xp I have.Are those Windows -xp keys/codes specific for their versions/languages.Also that where can I get to download drivers for the same. Pls Help.

Windows XP product keys in English, Dutch and Indian languages are different. You should buy another product key for English Language. Drivers for Toshiba Satellite are available at www.toshiba.com, enter the laptop model which is A60 then download the drivers for free. <div>Hope this could help you.</div>

Hello, the drivers can be downloaded from the same place which is toshiba website. Now I personally have used an english key to install a spanish version of windows xp. I dont know if this would be the case with your version.

is it windows 7 home basic?if it is the only way to change language legaly is to upgrade to ultimate as that has all the languages.there is a programme you can run but it does not change the language of the op system.eg windows 7 dutch would be changed to english but updates will still be dutch.if its ultimate download the language pack from windows update.

There is a very expensive Microsoft program that allows language changes but it is for corprate licenses. Us poor folks have to buy a new copy of XP in the language we want and reinstall.
You can change some of the language by:
  • Open the Control Panel.
  • Open Regional and Language Options.
  • Click the Languages tab.

    •  Changing the language does not change the language of the menus and dialogs of Windows or Windows applications like Internet Explorer.
    http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/winxp/yourlanguage.mspx has more discussion on what can and cannot be changed.

    could be you internet speed. youtube and other sites need at least 100kb/s to play without stopping to buffer.

    How to change OS language from Dutch to English? The regional settings change only the keyboard, the multilanguage option is not available on ASUS Eee PC's XP Home!!! It is just a localized version: it saya everything in Dutch.
