I just got a pre owned rascal 329le scooter and i need to replace the tyres< but i can not read the size on the original tyre as they scuffed and badly damaged

Yes you can. Are they solid or pneumatic tyres. You can buy from a Pride dealer or look on line. Details of tyres are written on the side of the tyre giving sizes.

hi, the you need to check the fuses that can be located on the battery leads and near the controller on some models.

Some models do have a fuse in the tiller head...

Remove the axle and drop off the tire. Tools needed are a 5mm and 6 mm Allen wrench

Making the assumption that you have fitted standard size tyres (wider or higher profile tyres can scuff on guard ). If that is the case chances are your suspension needs to be looked at - check the tyre for scuff damage - where ever it is scuffed that is where it is rubbing if the suspension has sagged like a broken spring there is just not enough room for the tyre.

The wheels could have been changed on the car from the standard original factory set and hence the tyre size may not be the standard factory original size.
The size of the tyres on the vehicle now is moulded into the side wall of the tyres and is easy to read.
Check all 4 tyres because larger size tyres may have been fitted as a pair to the rear.

The size might read - for example 245 45 18 or 235 45 17 (there are a huge number of sizes for each model of tyre).

The first 3 numbers are the width of the tyres in mm eg 225 mmm or 235 mm and so on. The second 2 numbers are the tyre profile size or ratio (which can be 70 65 60 55 50 45 40 and so on. The third number is the wheel diameter size. If you have 18 inch wheels on the car the tyres will read 18 or if they are 17 inch wheels the tyres will read 17 and so on.

What pressures are you running in the tires that are giving you the problem?

The short answer is no, there is not. Here in Australia it is the law that the appropriate and legal tyre sizes are listed on a lanel inside the glove compartment. To explain more though, so you will see why it's important to fit the correct tyre. If you take the tyre size... 215x85-16. It means
215= tyre width across the walls in millimetres
85 = Aspect ratio (the height is 85% of the width)
16= diameter of the rwheel rim
H= High Speed
L= low speed
LT = light truck.

You normally would not put light truck tyres on the front of your vehicle and on the rear only if you carry heavy loads (but probably not then)
Light truck tyres may be cheaper, but they do not ride as well.
