Mitsubishi WD-60735 Projection Television Logo

Mitsubishi WD-60735 TV doesn't respond to the remote control at all (on, off, volume, input, etc) and has to be powered on and off manually at the control panel of the TV. Volume menu is stuck on screen but picture and cable work fine. the remote control has been replaced with batteries, does light up when buttons are pushed and ensured volume button is not stuck. i have tried pushing the system reset button twice on the control panel, unplugged the tv and waited 1 minute, pushed menu and format at the same time on the control panel but nothing works, the volume menu stays on screen and the remote for the tv does not respond to any commands other than to light up. any suggestions?

SOURCE: Mitsubishi WD-52525 projection TV volume control

Check owner / operator manual for "panel lock" selection or
go through menu pages until you spot it........
This selection is made so guests or children cannot operate tv.
In case this suggestion fails, you might try hard reset = unplug
AC cord overnight,then try again...........T.

SOURCE: Remote won't turn tv on. Powers on at tv but

Looks like the core of the problem is this:

microswitches on the frontcontrol board leaking.replace it.
http://www.fixya.com/support/t2422987-same_problem What worked for me was this: Supposedly, the front panel is known to have leaky switches. power,volume,menu,etc.. They asked me to take my finger and rub left to right back and forth hitting all the buttons, do this about 20 times.. then poke the reset button in and out a few times.. Wait about 60 to 90 seconds and see if your green light quits flashing.. If so, try powering on with your remote.

SOURCE: Mitsubishi WD-62827 shuts down after pushing the device button.

With the remote press menu 2470 enter then do a system reset after the set has reinitialized this should fix your problem, you will have to reprogram your channel settings afterwards though.

Is your remote control possibly bad? Is it set to other than TV mode? Batteries? Nothing to do with lamp, but TV must turn all the way on for remote to operate anything besides power on/off. --Remote is a function of TV microprocessor.

Timer is on and Tv will not come on

Press the System Reset Button which is on the RHS on control panel
If the TV fails to respond to the remote control, control panel
buttons, or will not power on/off, press the SYSTEM RESET button on the control panel.
The green LED on the front panel will flash quickly for up to one and a half minutes. When the green LED stops flashing, you may turn on the TV. Recent setting changes you made before using SYSTEM RESET may be lost.
If that fails try pressing and holding the menu button for 8 secs

Mitsubishi WD-60735 Control issues

This set has aside from the recessed front reset two more done with the Mitsubishi remote.

The soft reset "should" be with set on Menu, 1,2,3, enter

The hard reset requires a 4 digit number code and is based on model number and also done with the Mitsubishi remote--try to see if soft reset works at all on this model.

How do i change the lock code on my mitsubishi md-60735( 60'' ) tv? also please, why can only turn on and off my tv with only the remote? please help.

The only way to reset on a lock code on a Mitsubishi TV is going to be reseting the unit. I believe this unit is reset by holding down the power button for 10 seconds while the unit is turned on. As for the remote being the only way to turn the TV on, does the button on the front of the unit stick, or seem 'smushy' when you press it?

Sounds like your lamp/bulb is about ready to die. Here is a google shopping list for some replacements if you choose to DIY. http://www.google.com/search?q=Mitsubishi+WD-60735+replacement+bulb&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a#q=Mitsubishi+WD-60735+replacement+bulb&hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=XxY&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&prmd=ivns&source=univ&tbm=shop&tbo=u&sa=X&ei=k7KtTZP4A4jk0QGYm6jHCw&ved=0CHwQrQQ&biw=1366&bih=650&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&fp=30e0fb8dc28dda8
Also if you need help on the DIY just come back. But a detailed reinstall can be found in the manual starting on page 75 which if you don't have can be found here:http://www.mitsubishi-tv.com/pdf/ownersguides/WD-60735.pdf. Also on that page is a part number and phone number to get replacement direct from Mitsubishi. Good Luck!

I have a mitsubishi wd-60735 tv when i turn the tv on nothing comes on only hear the volume and screen just pitch black?

Did you recently replace the lamp? If you did then it might be the new lamp. I mistakenly bought an aftermarket lamp to replace mine and it would not work consistently. Apparently if it is not an Mitsubishi original lamp it has issues, because after I replaced it with a Mitsubishi lamp it worked perfectly fine.
