The radio needs to be tuned for the box. 3 watts sounds too high for a 2x8.

I would say it would be more like 1-1/5 to 2 watts. That may be why your not getting that much swing.

You should set the radio so the box dead keys around 300 to 400 watts.

I need a wiring diagram for the jensen lxa400. Pushing 2 kenwood 6x9 (200 watt rms each) and 2 dual voice coil 12's (300 watt rms each) in a truck box. Everything is 4 ohm. Thanks, Curtis

you shouldn't need a diagram all you need is these items here.

purchase a 4gauge wiring kit

run a a power line from battery to amp with a in line fuse 6in from battery.

run a ground from car frame to amp. ( scratch paint and screw it down with an eyelet for good contact)

run a remote from radio to amp.(blue wire)

run rca's from the radio to the amp ( sub input on back of radio)

finally connect your speakers.

Modulation with my linear

the radio you are trying to fry your amp with is driving the amp to hard. that radio has a toshiba 80 watt final inside the radio you are killing your radio with the dead key at 2 watts it causes the final to overheat and shut down because it is not built to be turned down that much. its best to turn the radio back up and use the radio.

I HAVE A 2517 GALAXY RADIO IT IS MUFFELD ON TRANSMIT

What is the power output on a watt meter telling you? if it is up above an 8 watt dead key with the rf power turned all the way down, someone has turned up the radio inside and you will ned to turn it back inside to get about a 2 or 3 watt dead key with the rf power turned all the way down on the outside knob on the face of the radio. to do this, you will need to locate the VR18 pot for low power on am/fm and the VR14 pot for high power on am/fm and adjust accordingly, you are most likely overdriving the radio in some way and if you are not familiar doing this sort of thing, then my suggestion would be for you to take it to your nearest electronics repair tech and have them do it for you. It is not a costly procedure and you will be better off to have an experienced tech in there. Also if you are running a power mic on it, try turning it down some or going back to the stock mic to see if the problem persists. If it does while running the stock mic, then most likely it's internal issues like the one explained above.

Circuit Breaker and Dometic Rooftop RV Air

Its the watts you plug in too like ither 30 watts vs 50 watts. 30 watts will cause your wires to get hot in the unit. just pull down your breaker box and look at those white ground wires.
