Nintendo Wii Handsets

I have a problem with both of my wii handsets. They seem to have stopped working. When switching the wii on the handsets light up but then the lights go off again. When you press any button nothing happens on screen but all 4 lights come on on the remotes. When you are asked to press A on the screen at the beginning, there is no response. I have tried to resync the remotes but again does not seem to be working. I am at a total loss as to what to do. Can you help.

Wii remote cursor hand not appearing on the screen

I am not sure but I had the same problem when I got a second remote hand set and my kids knew the answer. I first thing I would do is to ensure that you have new batteries in the handsets. Secondly there should be a small button inside the handset. I think that you need to push it to synchronize the handset to the Wii base station. I hope that helps

The remote handsets are not working even with new batteries

take the back off of the remote, and open compartment on the left of the Wii console. Then press red buttons simultaneously untill something like, connection restored pops up.

make sure you are pointing the remotes toward the black movment sensor that came with the Wii.

Handsets not responding. The lights light up at first & then go out.Options appear on screen. Have tried new batteries & checked the black receiving bar is working (on a friends system). Has the syncro

Hi there heather.

it seems that your synchronisation could have been lost, bear in mind some Wireless connections such as that of the wii can be scrambled/lose single if there are alot of electrical appliances in close proximity, as this messes with the wireless signals being transmitted.

you may just need to Re-Sync your Wiimotes which is simple. on the underside of the mote, inside the battery compartment there is a small red Button, pressing this whilst pressing the sync button on your nintendo wii should successfully sync each mote to your wii allowing you to play :)

hope this helps
