The ps3 turns on but stays on the theme screen and the menu dont come up and controllers dont connect to ps3 and i put a game in and nothing happens ?

If you are getting the YLOD oryellow light I will run through what causes it and how you can fix it.

Causes:

The yellow light is caused by internal overheating and the main chips that takethe damage are the GPU and the CPU.

You need to stop the heat build up and you will be able to get back to gamingagain.

Solution:

You can either send the console back in for repair and they will fix it foryou, however it will take about 4 weeks to get this done and it will cost about$150 for the repair!

did u try pressing the middle button on both of them if u did that then u need to charge the controllers

Same problem just happened to me. Playing a game and the game froze. Sat there in shock for about 10 to 15 seconds and the screen went black. Shut it off. Now every time I go to turn it back on again it starts up, I get the PS3 logo and then the blue wave starts. About 5 seconds after that the wave starts to lag and then nothing.... Stays on the lagging blue wave screen... THIS BLOWS!!!!!!!!!!!

HOW TO GO TO THE RECOVERY MENU OF PS3 SYSTEM

1. Make sure the ps3 is plugged in (stand by mode).
2. Put out your usb cable for the controller and the controller itself (do not connect yet).
3. Hold down power firmly, ps3 will turn on and then turn off, release power button when t turns off.
4. Hold down power again, you will hear a beep and then a double beep, when you hear that double beep release the power button.
5. Now you should be seeing something in your monitor that say "Connect usb controller", do just that.
6. After connecting the controller press PS button.
7. You are now in the recovery menu.
8. To fix the problem of corrupt data you can choose #3.
9. If you want to format your hard drive choose #5. Be aware that this option will delete everything that is in your hard drive.
10. Remember that doing #3 and #5 is not 100% to fix the problem of corrupt data, I say about 70%.

ok my name is Juan I got 3 solutions for you the problem you have is with the VGA chip under the chip there is about a 100 small pins directly connected to the motherboard and one or more of this connections are not making a good contact some ps3's they don't turn on at all some turn on but they freeze right away and here is your 3 solutions
1._ trow your motherboard away
2._ buy another motherboard or ps3 I have motherboards on sale for 70.dls on ebay
3._ send your motherboard to me and I can fix it the only way to fix this problem is to put the motherboard in an special oven controlled by computer the computer will bring the temperature up to the point of melting the joints under the VGA to make any broken connection make contact again this is why the temperature has to be controlled by computer to bring the temperature up to the melting point of the solder and don't cause any other damage t any of the electronics and if you have saved games they will be there after your motherboard gets fix but if you buy another motherboard you will lose all of your games let me know what you think about it

Hold power button and center controller button until PS3 auto-detects your tv. It worked for me.

if your tv has a light blub replace it this is only for hdtvs

After you install your theme make sure you resave your profile that you installed the theme on that should make it stay.
