No audio or video with HDMI connedction

If I bypass the TXSR605 and take the HDMI output (from satellite receiver) straight to my projector, the video is super. And the audio is OK using the component inputs on the receiver. But when going from satellite receiver HDMI out to Onkyo HDMI in, and then Onkyo HDMI out to the projector, no video signal and no audio signal. I have set the input properly as that has to be done to hear the audio even with the component inputs, which works fine. Any clues would be greatly appreciated! Dan in Indianapolis, IN.

How do I get a signal between my DirecTV receiver and my height a chi CP - X 885 multimedia projector using component cables?

Not familiar with your Directv receiver, but if there's component output then just straight connect to the component input of the projector. Make sure the output setting of the receiver is set to 1080i, as it's the highest resolution the projector will recognize. If only HDMI out if available, then you'll need a down-convertor (HDMI-to-Component). Something similar to this, http://www.walmart.com/ip/HDMI-to-Component-Audio-Cnvrtr/43096325

How do I set up an Integra DTR 7.8 for 3D display and audio

Your DTR-7.8 receiver is not 3D compatible. It does not support the new 1.4 HDMI. You have to have 1.4 HDMI and 1.4 cables for the 3D format.

You can bypass your receiver for the video though. Simply run your HDMI cord (1.4) from your Blue Ray to your Projector. Your audio can be ran from your Blue ray to your reciever.

I have an Onkyo TX-SR605 AV receiver that just stopped outputing video to my Panasonic projector. I have connected other devices directly to the projector and video is fine, so the problem is not the...

Goof information. Have you eliminated or proven the Onkyo as a cause by going direct to the projector? Try another Input and/or Output. It's best to know which component is broken and if it's limited to a specific subset of its function.

Settings are also indicated. Run through the video setup again. If it just stopped, what preceded it?

Audio doesnt come thru my hdmi cable from the dvd player. And video doesnt go thru hdmi cable to projector. Have to run rca cables to both

Hi there
Check your DVD players' settings/manual to ensure the HDMI port is the default output port. Also confirm that both audio and video are enabled on that HDMI channel as it can be separated to be only video or only audio in a lot of cases.
Confirm you are at least getting video out from the DVD with a direct connection to your projector with the HDMI cable.
If video is making it to the projector direct from the DVD, you will need to confirm your amp is monitoring the HDMI input if there isn't a specific input selection for it. Connect your DVD to the amp and your amp to the projector and test again that you are still getting video AT LEAST. This will help narrow down which device is not playing the HDMI game if you still have issues at this point.
To sum up;
Confirm HDMI is the default output from the DVD for both audio and video.
Ensure you are getting video AT LEAST with a direct test to projector.
Confirm your amp is monitoring the HDMI input coming from the DVD.
Hope this helps.

No video from RX-V863

This reciever might not upconvert component or composite to hdmi, which means if you have anything but hdmi hooked up you will not see it. Check your manual for what all the reciver will ouput.

Onkyo TX-SR604 provides audio thru receiver but no video on Bravia LCD when satellite receiver signal is sent thru any of the Onkyo HDMI connections to tv, however if I connect up my Samsung DVD recorder...

easiest fix is to take all hdmi straight to tv. then come out of tv with optical cable to your receiver. that way what ever your watching will automatically be sent to the receiver thru optical. you even will get dolby dig. also you can have audio from your tv when you dont want to use your surround. keeps receiver on one input also.

Connecting my wii to my home theater

  1. Connect your set-top box HDMI output to the Xbox One HDMI input.
  2. Connect the Xbox One HDMI output to your A/V HDMI input.
  3. Connect your A/V HDMI output to the HDMI input on your TV.
  4. Notes
  5. This option requires that all devices support audio over HDMI.
  6. Surround sound from your set-top box will not be passed through the Xbox One.
  7. When you perform this kind of basic setup with an A/V receiver, you're passing both audio and video through another device. Depending on your equipment, there's a small risk of audio or video lag.
  8. Connect your set-top box HDMI output to the Xbox One HDMI input.
  9. Connect the Xbox One HDMI output to the HDMI input on your TV.
  10. Connect the audio output from the TV to the audio input on the sound bar using either HDMI or optical S/PDIF cables.
