2008 gmc sierra oil leak on manifold and over engine the valve was changed. Cannot find where the the leak maybe coming from.

It can be difficult to determine the source of an oil leak, especially if the valve cover has already been replaced. Here are some common causes of oil leaks in vehicles:
  1. Engine gasket leaks: Engine gaskets can leak oil, causing oil to seep out onto the engine and surrounding components.
  2. Engine oil seals: Engine oil seals can become worn or damaged, causing oil to leak from the engine.
  3. Engine oil cooler: Engine oil coolers can develop leaks, causing oil to leak out of the engine and onto the manifold.
  4. Engine oil pan: Engine oil pans can develop leaks, causing oil to leak out of the engine and onto the ground.
  5. Engine oil filter: Engine oil filters can develop leaks, causing oil to leak out of the engine and onto the manifold.
If you are unable to locate the source of the oil leak, it is recommended to have a professional mechanic inspect the vehicle

I have gas in my oil on my honda 5.0 gc160

Check the engine compression with a compression tester. Most likely you have a blown head gasket.

I have a 1999 Chrysler 300m 3.5 that is leaking oil. There is no obvious source from the engine, though it is possible. The car overheated last year and I had the dealer replace water pump and timing...

CK- Try a set of Valve Cover Gaskets. It cannot leak from the front cover area because it is where the timing belt rides and there is no entrance into the engine EXCEPT the front CAM SEAL... Remove the cover and look toward that seal behind the cam sprocket. If so it is also leaking down into the front cover and beyond. But look at the Valve cover gasket first, since you mention that source.

Oil leak

You have to differentiate whether the oil leak is from the engine or the tranny. After determining where the source, you must isolate the specific area; timing belt area, the middle-between the engine and the tranny. This can be cheaply determine by placing white piece of paper underneath the engine and observe the droppings of oil. Oil leak repair can be costly-especially an oil starved engine, so isolating the source is essential and tear-down might required.
Due to the age of the vehicle, possible sources are the camshaft seal, crankshalf seal, oil pan gasket, crankshaft end seal, distributor o-ring, and valve cover gasket.
In addition, other oil leaks can come the transmission, and power steering pump and rack'n'pinion. Best to raise the vehicle and inspect undercarriage of vehicle.

clean your engine and look very carefully where the oil leak really come from, the cause why this leak happen, the engine was shutdown while the engine temperature is hot. usually the leak will come from the turbo. the engine must be idle for 3-5min before shutting off.

Oil leak

Sounds like the High Pressure Oil Pump mounting O seals. See if the soundproofing under the pump is soaked in oil to be sure.
