I have an ACDELCO 6500 Watt Electric Start Generator. i bought it brand new about 1 year ago and it started up with no problems. Unfortunately I did not drain the gas after using it and it sat idle with 1 quarter tank of gas for about 1 year. I added gas and tried to start it and now it won't start. Can someone please help give me advice on how to get this started again?

Fuel will go stale if left for a long time. Drain and clean fuel tank and also drop float bowl on carburettor to remove any old fuel. If there is any sediment in the float bowl a carby clean could also be necessary.

Having trouble getting my BlackMax 7000 watt trifuel generator started on Propane.

Clean off the fuel connect points. Probably just not a clean line from sitting so long since last use.

Generator wont start up unless i spray starter fluid into it

This sounds like a dirty carbureator. Just bad enough that it won't start cold.

I have a Generac 6500E. The electric start turns over the engine but will not start. Pull start works fine

If the pull start works, but the electric start doesn't try the following. Either give the battery on the generator a full charge, and if after a full charge it doesn't start, get a new battery.

Wont start

Make sure you have new fresh fuel in the tank; Check to see if spark plug is firing; if not , check the coil. If all of the above checks out ok, the carb might need cleaning. Have you checked all switches ? Any loose wires?

My onan generator voltage is around 127 to 129 volts but wont run a space heater what is the problem i changed the fuel filters

First thing you need to do is turn down the engine speed and get the voltage dow to max 120v, Then chk the heater. Excessive voltage will ruin appliances. .
