Ok I have lost the cd to my sony walkman model # NW-300F. So i downloaded sonicstage 4.2 and i tryed downloading 4.3 as well, but when i plug my walkman into my USB it will charge but I can't even find the devise anywhere. Uhhhh so cranky about this all i wanna do is put more music on it!
U can get the software for it in sony support site also not all softwares support sony...

The FORMAT ERROR message may occur if the Walkman player has been formatted using the format utility in Windows Explorer. To correct this issue, initialize (format) the portable player using the Initialize or Format utility built into your Walkman player.
Home button-->Menu-->Advanced Menu-->Initialize-->Format-->OK.
Reset the unit by pressing the RESET button with a small object such as a paper clip. Reset button is located near the volume buttons.
If the issue occurs after making any changes in the SonicStage Software, then reinstall the Software in the Computer using the latest version. Click here to download the latest version of the SonicStage Software.
This should resolve the issue.
