I need to lubricate my treadmill. - Exercise & Fitness

My treadmill requires lubricant every now and then. Its not your treadmill but a treadmill is a treadmill. That's what stops the belt from slowing down due to friction. Go to your nearest Gym they may be able to sell you a tube of lubricant. Good Luck

Your treadmill walking belt need lubrication. For lubricating use Teflon silicon lubricant. To know how to lubricate the treadmill belt watch the following video.

you will need silicone lubricant with an applicator wand and all you have to do is lift the belt up enough to get the applicator wand under and spread the treadmill silicone on the machine - be very careful that you do not use any other silicone except what is made for treadmills. My company sells this product for $18.95 and it usually will last 1-2 years with proper lubrication

Tunturi.com or accellfitnessna.com should have the lubricant you need. Order it online and they should be able to ship it directly to your house. I service tunturi treadmills, although I haven't come across a teflon lubricated machine, it is very important with these machines you stick with the manufacturer specified lubricants.

The deck needs to be lubricated. The lubricant can be purchase @ gympart.com. LUBRICATION PROCEDURE: 1. Turn off and unplug treadmill. 2. Cut off the end of the tube of lubricant. 3. Holding the tube in one hand, insert the tube underneath the treadbelt halfway between front and back and halfway between right and left. 4. Squeeze the full contents of the tube onto the deck in a circular pattern in the center 1/3 of the deck. 5. Plug in and turn on treadmill, then walk normally on treadmill at 0.5 mph for five minutes.

it is an indicator that the belt needs lubricating. turn the power off, and lift up one side of the belt and spray a small amount of lubricant underneath the belt, onto the running board. repeat this step on the other side. turn the treadmill on and run it for a few minutes to spread the lubricant. the oil light should now go off.
this should be repeated every 5-6 months to keep the board lubricated and to reduce friction between the belt and board and will lengthen the life of your treadmill.
