The imaging unit is the drum. It's a cartridge like the toner that needs replaced after so many prints. You can change it yourself, you should be able to get the imaging unit fromt the place you get the toners. In the box or on the machine should have instructions on how to change.

Printer has all full cartridges, not printing clearly

Does this machine have drum units, image units and toner units? what combination? Replacing the toner cartridge will not fix the issue with the drum or image unit.

If your printer prints with faded bands similar to this:slamfix_29.jpg The problem is with the developer in the imaging unit. The problem can be fixed by either replacing the imaging unit for $100+ or you can fix it yourself by cleaning the imaging unit. You will need simple hand tools and if you are careful restore the print quality of your printer. WHEN CHANGING AN IMAGING UNIT IN A LARGE COPIER WHEN THE COPIER HAS JOBS ON THE LINE FROM COMPUTERS.IF I TURN THE MACHINE OFF. WILL THE JOBS BE LOST?

They will be lost if already in the copiers memory. Normally I would not turn off the power to the copier to change out an imaging unit. You should be able to swap it out without turning off the power. That way once the new unit is installed and has been calibrated the print jobs will finish normally.

I have blue lines appearing down one edge of the paper printouts

This is caused by either a problem with the Transfer Belt Unit or the Cyan Imaging Unit. Since the lines are only in Blue (Cyan) I would more suspect the Cyan Imaging Unit. These can be released and slid out of the machine very easily and you could look at the drum to see if the lines are there. When you slide out the unit the drum (long greenish colored cylinder) is right there on top and it should be clean with no toner lines on it. If there are lines then that would be your proof. Also try using your cleaning tools on the Imaging Units as well. This is the wand that is clipped inside the front door. There are also little blue knobs on the units you can pull out and push in a few times to clean wires inside the units. This will sometimes fix the lines. If not you may have to have the Cyan I/U changed.

I install new imaging unit cyan and magenta but c350 machine shows still change imaging unit error. how to fix this error.

Did you turn the main power switch OFF then back ON? You need to do that to reset the counter. Also, did you put a brand new one in from a closed box or a used one? If it is a new one & it will not clear, return it to where you got it from... Good Luck

I have a bizhub C450 and i am getting a yellow line at the top of my printed page and also 2 pink/red dots in the middle of the page. How can i stop this?

The yellow and magenta image units may be the problem. Yellow may have worn out on one end causing the yellow line. If the pink dots show up on every page but move around from page to page, there may be damage to the magenta image unit. You can remove the image units from the machine and look at the drums (long green cylinders), this should be shiny and clean. If not, you may need to replace.

Sharp AR168D won't copy

There are small mirrors on the copy lamp, wipe with a clean dry soft cloth. Remove the drum unit and wipe upper part where the drum unit was and make sure the area is clean.

Technical Black Imaging Unit Replaced,Error message still shows

These units are automatically reset with a fuse. When you put the imaging unit in it will completes a connection which resets the count then simultaniously blows the fuse. Sometimes the fuse blows before the reset, which is what it sounds like happened here. The machine should print normally but the error will persist until the unit is replaced with a new one. Is the the imaging unit an OEM unit or remanufactured? Whoever you got the unit from should replace it as defective free of charge. If it is OEM you might have to go through Xerox to get it replaced. I don't know if the Big Box stores will.
