Common Repairs
For the following models: WD-52631, WD-57731, WD-65731, WD-Y57, WD-Y65, WD-57732, WD-65732, WD-57831, WD-65831, the most common repair problem stems from television shutting off almost immediately after it has been turned on accompanied by the message, "TV will shut down in a few seconds. Please check if the air flow is blocked." According to the Mitsubishi website, this issue is caused by a loose connection as a result of a faulty thermal sensor. For models: WD-73727, WD-73827, WD-73927, WD-73732, WD-7383, the most encountered repair problem has been in relation to the optical engine. Another common situation consumers have encountered is failure of the TV to turn on along with unceasing flashing of the green power light. The solution for this problem, caused by the DM board, will vary by repairman. Consumers have also encountered issues with moving vertical or horizontal lines appearing on the screen which can either be due to problems with the capacitor, light engine, or formatter board. Make sure all bad caps are changed.

I have a 2006 WD 65732.just replaced the lamp,still have white haze around,pepole and words.could it be a seal?

Quite possibly the lens is in need of a clean. It sounds like it is acting a bit like when you see a moon on a night with high cloud, we see a ring around it caused by the atmosphere, much the same as dust on the lens.
Hope that helps.

How can I tell if its my thermal sensor causing aif flow problem and tv shutting off I have WD-65732

If the TV turns off after a short period of time, then it's most likely a heating problem. Any potentially hazardous electronic device will shut off when it senses too much heat. I'm not sure about a thermal sensor causing air flow problems, though. It's simply there to shut the whole thing down in case of emergencies.
There may be another explanation, such as there's a dead fan or a dislodged heat sink. Maybe it's even that the ambient temperature is too much for it to run, though usually these things are designed to run in just about any climate.
You'd have to open this one up and look at where all of the heat sinks are, as well as the fan. If no heat sinks are dislodged, then carefully turn the set on and make sure that any and all fans are operating as they should. Sometimes you just have to clean them out because of a build-up of dust,
Just be careful, as LCD TVs have a backlight board that goes up to at least 330V. Just make sure to not touch it while it's running.
