Romp, Did you check the freewheel levers chair will not move if you are in freewheel. Levers are in front next to seat posts and need to be facing forward. If you are not in freewheel then check the number of lights you have on on the joystick and that they aren't flashing. Also check that your speed control is not on the lowest setting even with some charge a slow speed setting will not let the chair move. Now by some charge you mean lights in the green on the joystick? If the lights aren't flashing then I'm kinda unsure other than even with some charge the batteries don't have enuf current to drive the motors and need to be replaced Hoe this helps

Red light flashing on joystick about 10 min after charging

Most of the time it may be the batteries at fault. One more thing to try is charging the chair with the Joystick on all night 10-14 hours uninterrupted charging. Your chair may suffer from current roll back. There is a circuit in your system that has to be reset by the long charge cycle to reset it. I did not make this up. it occurs when the motors over heat or have a a large current draw. the chair will operate normally for ten maybe even twenty mins. then suddenly drop down to 2 flashing red lights.

Low hour, RASCAL 600 has been in clean safe storage with new batteries won't charge, no amp meter reading, no fuel gauge reading, yet charger itself has red and green light showing. If and when the...

The green light on your charger indicates a full charge but you know thats not right since you didn't charge the batteries when they were in storage they have dropped so low the charger cannot detect them and provide a charge. The batteries will need to be replaced with new ones. Charge before use and charge for at least 20 days to get them operating at 100% now you will have to use it for those 20 days to get the batteries used to charging charge every night when you go to bed and unplug when you get up in the morning. If you do have to leave the chair for a week or so put up fully charged and charge once a week overnight. If you put the chair in storage again disconnect the batteries from the chair and store with a full charge. Hope this helps you

I charged the batteries for 12 hours and then turned the chair on. The batteries appear to be bully charged, but the chair will not move. The joystick is flashing 8 times. Apparently a joystick fault? ...

There isn't too much you can do to fix this problem. You will have to have the joystick replaced. If Medicare paid for the chair then they will pay for most of the repair costs contact the provider that sold you your chair to have them order a joystick from Pride and repair the chair for you Hope this helps

Chair was working fine. Then it was plugged in for several days. LIghts come on, but chair will not move. Can batteries be over charged? We did push reset button in front, but that did not make any...

Evonne the batteries were probably overcharged you should never leave it charging for more that 12 hours Check that the freewheel levers are in the drive postion they are two levers under the front of the seat. They should be pointing toward the center of the chair. If they are in the drive mode then there are other problems. Contact Roadrunner Mobility @ 1-800-467-2668 to see if they have a tech that can come out to check the chair Medicare will pay for most of the repair cost if they paid for the chair. Hope this helps

I need an owners manual. I have had the hoveround charging for approximately 36 hours, it seems to turn on but does not move.

PK 36 hours charging is too long you will damage the chair and the batteries. You shouldn't have to charge more than 12 hours and never more than 24. If the batteries are weak the chair might power up but you don't have the power to energize the motors. If you have a digital voltmeter set it to 200 volts dc and plug the leads into the two outter holes of the charger port located on the joystick. You should be reading 25-27 volts with the batteries fully charged. Anything less than 20 volts will not be enough to power the chair. Hope this helps you

Usually the red light is on to indacate the batteries are being charged, now the green is the only light that is on

The green light on the charger usually indicates that the batteries are fully charged and you are ready to go. Does the controller show the batteries are fully charged? Can you operate the power wheel chair for several hours? If so, you are good to go.
When you connect the charger, if the light goes to red to green within a few minutes and the battery power does not last more than 1-2 hours or less, it may indicate that that the batteries will not take a charge anymore and need to be replaced.
