You don't need any special software.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what said first, you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

You need to search on the Internet for the camera you need the software for. Then download and install what you need.
This camera is made under Pentax.

Maybe.
But it does seem to be a lens problem. Possibly the lens is out of sync as mentioned in another post here.If there is a grinding, the lens is probably damaged by dirt or sand.
Make sure the batteries or battery is fully charged.

Go to the home page of your camera. Look up what you need, download it and install if necessary.
It appears you want to download pictures to the camera.
Another way to download your pictures is with a card reader at most electronics stores, including Radio Shack, Best Buy, Office Max, and so on.

You will need to go to the manufacturers web site and check to see if they have a download available for your camera to work with Vista. I have the same problem with my camera and now use AdobePhotoShop software to process all of my photos and video, and if I may say "it works just great"!!!
